Powerful, Light, Great for Our Above-Ground Pool
Cannot say enough good things about this pool vacuum! Wow!It’s light, easy to use, easy to clean the filter. We use it all the time and it’s SO much easier than dealing with your typical heavy hose pool vacs!Does it work well? YES. Plenty of suction power. Very strong. It gets the micro stuff our regular heavy hose vac never got.Keep the reusable filter clean (I spray it with the “jet” setting on our garden hose nozzle, keep it charged. Ready to go. Easy. You get three extra filters but if you clean the existing (first one) well after every use I doubt you’ll even need an extra one. Good to have but we have been using this same filter (clean with garden hose after each use) since we got it. Zero problems. You think you’ve seen “gunk” before? Like you really got all the algae and whatever out of your pool water? Nope. This little vacuum gets stuff you didn’t “see” in the water. It’s that good. We don’t use it to get up huge debris — we use it to keep the pool clear and sparkling . . . like daily “touchups.” With consistent use this way there IS no big stuff to get (leaves etc.) but I think it would do that too (to a point, it’s a small LIGHT vacuum). If you had a huge storm and a lotta visible debris in the pool, probably better off using your heavy default pool vac and backflushing etc. But this little vacuum is AMAZING at sucking up all the “ew yuck” particles (green you didn’t even know was in your properly-chemically-maintained pool).Looked at all the pricy high-end “robot” vacs and SO glad we went with this one after checking the reviews (the positive ones are correct). It’s so maneuverable, and convenient. It’s plastic, yes, but unless you’re gonna throw it around or slam it on the ground or deck, I can’t see it “breaking.”Cleans our above ground pool about three times before needing a recharge (corded plugin brick). One of the best things I’ve ever bought on Amazon. A definite winner.

Sparkling clean pool. Replaced a Polaris.
I have an inground gunite pool with spa attached. I have always cleaned it myself, relying on a $650 Polaris Vac-Sweep Model 380 running off the built-in pool pump. I could never get the Polaris "tuned" in a way so that it swept the entire pool. The Polaris always seemed to get caught in a corner or wound up in its hose, or needed some other kind of maintenance. After 3 years of use, the Polaris began to give signs of age and needed an overhaul. So, I decided to spend a fraction of the cost and for $116 buy this Teguy Cordless Pool Vacuum. Keep in mind, although I pay a company to keep the chemicals balanced, I actually enjoy cleaning the pool. I love this Teguy vacuum. It is completely submersible. I like hopping in the pool and vacuuming the bottom while I am in the pool. I spend about 30-45 minutes doing so, and have never run out of a charge. It comes with four filters. The filters are thick porous cloth; catches the smallest of particles along with whatever bugs, leaves, flower petals, and pebbles might be strewn in my pool. The filters are super easy to clean with a water hose. The first few times I vacuumed, I could not believe how much grit and sand got caught in the vacuum's filter. There is NO WAY the Polaris could've trapped particles that small. I couldn't believe how much different--cleaners, clearer, sparkling--my pools looks now that I have vacuumed it a few times. It is fun to jump in the pool and move around the pool with this Teguy vacuum cleaner and picking up stuff too small to see. It makes a huge difference. Friends have commented on how clean my pool looks. The Polaris has been removed and set aside. I am glad I got this item and highly recommend it for vacuuming pools.

Surprised at it's effectiveness!
So far, so good! The bag is actually easy to clean with the water hose and some high pressure (like a sprayer). Holds a charge for longer than I expected. It comes with 3 extra bags, which is also cool. The handle is adjustable. I tend to use the vacuum while in my pool (Coleman 18ftx48"). I recommend making a whirlpool to get stuff in the center, vacuum from there, then do a good full vacuum as needed. The bottom has brushes, so works great on any slick spots I feel with my feet (which I assume is algae).Only problem: I lift it out the way it recommends, and it dumps some stuff back into the pool...so I'm lifting out while it is still running and cutting it off after I get it over the side of the pool.

Great Suction. Handle not long enough. I had to vacuum on my knees
I have an in ground pool 4’ to 6’ . The vacuum setup was easy. It charged up fast. I have a pool cage and only get sand in the pool due to brick pavers around the pool put in in with sand, that was a mistake and a separate issue. When I used the vacuum the suction was very strong the handle not long enough which made it hard to vacuum. The head has wheels but it didn’t help. Pushing and pulling was a pain as it also dispersed the sand in different directions. The handle felt like it was going to bend because the vacuum head wouldn’t smoothly roll on the bottom surface, again because the suction was strong. The handle not being long enough doesn’t make it to the middle of the pool. I could’ve used my pool net handle but decided to return it cause I felt it was too much work. I cleaned out the filter before I repacked it. There was a lot of sand. So the vacuum suction was amazing. Great for steps but being in Florida with 90 degree heat it’s easier for me to put in my creepy crawler sit back and drink a cold beverage. But now I have to rinse and clean the pool pump filter out of all the sand to which I find easier than vacuuming cause I can stand straight up while doing it. So the vacuum is not for me.
