Sony FDRAX53/B 4K HD Video Recording Camcorder (Black) (Renewed)

I am photographer and videographer, I am excited about this camcorder, the image quality es very nice.

What the camera does, it does very well, but understand that the electronics has some limits. In 4K, you do not have 4 channel sound. If you wish 4 channel sound, you have to shoot in a lower resolution. 60 frames per second limits other options. One cannot switch from stills to video easily in all set-ups. If your subject matter tends to push technical boundaries, you may find this camera limiting. The camera also produces tons of files containing meta-data for each clip. You will eventually find your clips and your stills. Delete the rest of the stuff if it does not suit.

Camera came with out cable to download to computer. Got zero response to request. It needs a special type of cable which I couldn't find on Amazon or in our local Best Buy. The camera works fine but not worth anything if you can't make videos with it. They finally said return it with same box and shipping labels. Of course don't have this so can't return. Stuck for $845.00

The product did not record as it was supposed to. This is still a purchase under negotiations so it would be unfair to the company to rate them until they have time to correct the problem.

NO help at from Amazon or Sony. Amazon refub , so Sony will not help . could not get a replacement in time for my trip. so many owners with the same problem , $400.00 repair. This camera is not worth buying. watch all the videos on Sony FDRAX53 problems ,before you buy. I own at least 12 Sony camcorders and this one is junk.

The camera arrived with a battery that was inop and the focus was inoperative beyond 3 meters. From 3 meters out everything was out of focus. A brand new camera has now arrived and is much superior. Everything works as advertised.
