Nice for everyday use-
I just recieved the 45 peice set yesterday. I must say I did think they would be just a little bit heavier but thats okay...they will be used daily and seem very sturdy. I do like the very contemporary styling of these- the reason I gave it 4 outta 5 stars was due to the fact it leaves finger prints very easy and if your setting a table you will have to keep a tea towel to wipe off the finger prints as your setting the table. But overall very nice and stylish.UPDATE: 7/26/2012I still use my set daily BUT what I didnt realize when I bought this.....now that I have educated myself on the difference of 18/0, 18/8 and 18/10 stainless steel. This set Of Sasaki Flatware is 18/0 which means it has no Nickel (indicated with the "0"). Nickel is what prevents the flatware from spotting or rusting so the higher the last number on the end the more quality of stainless steel; so 18/10 which is the highest stainless steel you can buy is considered more durable. NOW having said all that... I paid $136 bucks for this (including s&h...yeah I know- silly me!) here on Amazon. Now that I have had it for a little while let me give you the real deal on this....ready?Okay- Like I said I still use this flatware and I still love the style of this. I havent had this for even 6 months yet there is PERMANENT spotting (maybe yours wont spot). I washed it in the dishwasher ONE TIME and there were rust stains on some of my knives...it scratches easily. So when you wash dishes (and I recommend that you do HAND WASH THESE)make sure there is nothing else that clangs against them or they may get scratches....it looks like I have had them for awhile already...But having said all that they are durable in the fact they wont bend and I expect to have them for many years...if they don't rust further which I was able to wash the rust off by hand washing them. . I just wish I hadnt paid so much for them. I cant even say "you get what you pay for" in this instance I paid more for this set than I ever spent on any flatware in my life....Oh well, its your choice.

I like this set but there were a couple issues.
OK, this was a difficult review for me. I really like this set but it's not perfect. The ends of the utinsel's handles were not polished and are a bit sharp but will not cut you. The regular forks and spoons are kind of large. I use the salad fork and small spoon most of the time. Because of these issues I have deducted one star.My biggest gripe was with amazon.com. They sent a used, returned set to me. The box had been opened and then resealed with tape. Many of the forks and spoons are scratched, some rather badly. It was obvious that the set had been used for a while before they were returned. I tried to contact them but found absolutely no way to communicate with amazon.com short of returning the set. They are so heavy and, since I discarded the box before I found the scratches, I decided to just keep the set. I have buffed out most of the scratches and the objectionable ends on the handles. It would be nice if the rep from amazon.com that screens this review would let them know that "I do not appreciate receiving unscreened damaged returned merchandise!" I have lost some respect and trust in amazon.com's operating practices over this.

Almost perfect
If you're into modern design, this flatware is beautiful. It's a heavy gauge stainless, which has a nice feel. But be warned: the utensils are oversized - the larger spoons and forks are pretty darn huge. The reason I gave it a 4 (rather than a 5) is b/c I ordered two sets, and the handles of each set are curved at a slightly different angle.

Scratch easily yet modern
I purchased this silverware to replace my old ones that did not fit my modern dishware. These are super contemporary and have a nice weight to them proving theyre made of a good material. My only issue is that they scratch on each other leaving marks. While they remain shiny, the small scratches are not appealing.

Great Style!
These were from Warehouse deals. I love the heavy weight and style that is different from everything else I've seen. Others always remark how cool they are! ; )

Wonderful, sophisticated flatware
I absolutely adore this set. It's stylish, unusual, and the pieces have good heft to them. I have four sets that I use on a daily basis and are washed in my dishwasher and I haven't noticed any undue wear or tear on them. The remaining four sets will be hand-wash only, in case scratches form on daily-use set, for finer dining experiences. This was money very well spent. I couldn't be happier!

Substantial and sleek
Stunning flatware, has a good heft, the knife blade tip is the best I’ve ever had—sharp enough to cut easily.

Curve of handle is backwards
The look of the Sasaki Aria Flatware is very nice and it has a nice weight to it. Instead of the handles curving like a hill, they are concave like a valley - this make for them being uncomfortable. I wish I had gone with a different option.
