L'ovedbaby Organic Infant Cap

Our little one was born full term at 5 pounds, and all the newborn hats were huge on him. Even the hat at the hospital wouldn’t stay on. I’m so glad I found this, because the preemie hat fit him perfectly. We were able to use it until he hit about 7 pounds, but it was so helpful to keep him warm until then.

These hats were my favorite for my child and now I make sure all of my friends get them for a baby gift too!

I had a l’ovedbaby hat for my daughter that was amazing so I decided to purchase a newborn size hat for my son and had it packed in my hospital bag. He was born at just past 39 weeks with a head circumference in the 17th percentile…. I put it on him the day he was born and it was too small for him. If you have a preemie baby, the newborn size might fit ok, but otherwise size up to the 0-3 months or you’ll have a hat that won’t fit your baby.

This is 100% organic cotton, this was the first time I had every had been in contact with organic cotton and boy you can tell the difference. As a first-time mom, you try to investigate the things that might hurt your child and google is a lethal weapon for information. After finding out all the harmful chemicals they use to bleach cotton, I wanted to get everything organic at least for the first couple of week when their skin is so new and sensitive. I really like this company I have gotten a couple of items from them and all their clothing seems very hight quality. They are very expensive compared to the most brand of baby clothing but they have lasted longer. I try to take care of it as much as possible and to buy everything gender neutral so we can recycle them for the next one.This cap is so tiny but it does have a nice stretch to it. So when he was just born it was the only one that fitted him and stayed on, we also got him a matching onesie from this brand. I would recommend to sized up as their clothing do run small and babies tend to gain weight fast. My baby was born 7Lb and he is almost 3 month and this hat is still fitting well, the onesie is another story. When he does outgrows we will be getting the nest size up maybe in another color easier to match outfits with.I will post a picture of the hat, sorry I don't post a picture of him, I fell a bit uncomfortable posting pictures of him to the entire internet. Just for reference, this is the color Gray, it's actually darker than I expected but its lovely. I purchase this with my own money and have gotten no discount for this review. ​

My son's 12-24mo hat just arrived. I had read a reviewer say that they received one with flaps and I thought that was just a mistake as I'd seen that listed as a separate item, but mine too had flaps. When reading the description of this I now see that it does say that the 12-24mo size comes with the tie-back flaps to fit your child as he grows. Oh well, guess my mistake so won't bother trying to send it back. Hat is also huge for my 17-mo baby which is where the flaps come in... Tie them behind the head for a snug fit which I guess is how they get it to fit for a year (but does the head really grow enough to warrant that in the second year?). But since I got the striped pattern (just because it was cheaper) he looks likes pirate! I laughed so hard when he had it on and he seemed to enjoy that :)Material seems nice and it's a good deal for the price.

Well , I think it fits premature or really newborn babies only , once they grow up to 3 months I don't think it will still fit . But my little one still boy here yet until the end of Jun , so later on I'll write a review again to see how it will go.So my boy is here . I come to post again . He's a full term baby ,and this hat is a little bit bigger on his head , when he moves the edge falls onto his eyes or I just say it covers his eyes .... but I think different baby has different size head , maybe mine just had a smaller head , once he grows bigger it will fit him . In a word , not bad

I like the color, material and knit of the cap. However, I apparently did not do enough research prior to buying to understand that the 12/24 month size has these weird flaps on the side for tying the cap like a do-rag. Sometimes I just want to buy something without reading every little detail and every review specifically to size 12/24. Sometimes I just want to look at a picture and a price and then make my purchase. This item failed in that respect. Perhaps they need a separate listing for the ones with the tie back flaps.

I ordered 6 months size for my 4 month old and it fits perfectly. So I ordered another one, size bigger, just because I wanted to see how bigger size fits. I love the hat and quality of it. I’m giving it 4 stars, because second hat wasn’t the same plain one as the first one. Second hat has these straps on the sites - I gues to ake it look like bandana. That’s not what I wanted so I guess I will just cut the straps off. Other than these straps, the hat is great.

La tela es de algodón me gusto! Se ve curioso, lo compré en la última talla lo único que no me agrada mucho son los cordónes para ajustarlo al tamaño de la cabecita de tu bebé, porque cuando ya le queda bien, los cordones o cintas que tiene se ven poco vistosos

Cute little beanie in organic cotton, love that the unisex colour will work for both sexes. Soft and well made.
