Carport- my steel frame for an enclosed storage building!
I'm not using this carport in the normal way; I'm actually using it as the mainframe for a 10x15 storage building, that will be movable if needed. When it's finished, I will post details and pictures on the completed project. For now, I will just address the kit itself. As I am a retired construction co owner, I know what is good and bad.First, the steel frame. Plenty heavy enough- and many aren't, so this is a strong plus. Where parts are welded, look like robot work and are excellent. The fit as you assemble the frame parts is flawless; fits right, fits tight. Only one issue here; the interior of the tube does not have any rust protection. In an exposed installation, that can create problem in the long term. If that were my use, I'd be swabbing the inside with coating of boiled linseed oil. This will dry and make a very good corrosion barrier.Frame assembly is easy; the most important thing is to be sure it's square and level. Attaching it to the ground is critical, because that much area can catch a lot of wind. At a minimum, pour some concrete piers say 4-5" wide, 16-24" deep and embed the tie bolts in the wet cement.Next- the roofing material. As other reviews point out they have an adhesive plastic protective coating , and this can be a real chore to remove. Here's how to speed the job:Get one of the plastic end up and loose a couple inches. Then take some kind of tube, like a piece of PVC pipe, and lay it on the loosened area. rub the plastic on to stick, and start rolling the tube along. It will create a uniform lift on the plastic. You do have to watch the sides because tears will start, but those correct easily. Just roll it right off the other end. Use the same tube over and over, and when you are done you will have all that plastic rolled up on a disposable scrap of PVC pipe. Much faster and neater than pulling it by hand. The next phase is installing roof. They are not flimsy, and they are very consistent in form and color, fit together well. The important part is water-proofing, and as my use here is a closed building, more important than a carport. The kit comes with a roll of tape to use as seal at the joints, but I found this useless. It was like uncured rubber, and couldn't even be unrolled without stretching out like bubble gum. My solution was to use a line of silicone caulking at every joint in line with the screw holes.Next, the self-drilling screws, which come with seal washers. Two things to know.First, it takes quite a bit of force to get these drilled into the tube frame, so you will need a power impact driver like used for decking screws and such. However, once the tip break through the screw bottoms fast, and unless you limit the speed it will extrude the seal washer. Trial and error will help you find the way to avoid that.Overall, this is a pretty good product. No missing or damaged parts, everything fits. While I would have much preferred the roof panels to be full length to avoid joints, shipping 15 foot panels would be very expensive; I understand why it must be sectional. When my project is finished, I'll post again with pictures that show how it was converted to an enclosed building!

Still holding up!!

Easy to assemble
I like everything about this unit. With the exception of having to take the cling wrap off of each panel, it's very time consuming, and the foam piece they use in packaging would be sufficient.

Don't waste your money
First off every single piece of tin has a plastic cling film that you have to remove and it is not easy. Takes more time to do this step, that is not in the directions, than it did to install it.Secondly. It rained today and it leaks like crazy. Every seam leaks. And I was very thorough in putting the seam tape on correctly. I am very disappointed in this and regret purchasing it.

It meets my needs.
I bought this carport to use as a hay shed. Assembly was not too difficult and would have been nice to have a helper, Doing it myself was a little challenging but i still got it done. It meets my need for a hay shelter and I have 60 square bales stored and could fit about 30 to 40 more.
