Easton 2018 USA Baseball 2 1/4 Beast X Hyperlite Youth Baseball Bat -12

So far we’ve used this bat through 8 games and multiple batting practices. I have two sons who play on the same team together that both use the bat so it was already going to get tons of use. Whenever everyone else’s cheaper USA standards bats started to dent or not hold up, they started using this bat so it’s been put through the test. I bought it because it was the lightest bat my boys are 6 & 7 I didn’t want a big heavy bat yet. Another plus is that there’s very little vibration while hitting allot of kids use this bat because of that alone. I know there’s not as much hitting surface as the 2 5/8 but I know when they hit the ball it goes into play.

Great seller. After I placed my order, I inquired about changing to 1 size larger. He didn’t have it in stock and very patiently put my order on hold while I did a little more research into this bat. I went forward a couple of days later. The bat was shipped out in no time and I received it 3 days later during the holiday season. The bat is actually a perfect fit for my son. It is a little heavier than advertised but weight to length ratio is still nice and actually lighter than my sons old bat and he swings that bat well. It’s a USA Baseball compliant bat with the new reg taking effect on Jan 1. No regrets with this purchase. Would recommend this bat to a friend.

This bat is a decent bat for the price. After breaking the bat in a little my son was hitting the ball pretty hard. I always say it not all about the bat it's about the kid swinging it!!

My 9 year old son hits good with it. Good bat for transitioning to end loaded.

Lots of folks have issues with new bats. This one was the same model as my 12 used in 2017. He loves it. Says it feels the same as his old one. He is happy. Many friends who opted for the “big barrel” bats are unhappy. The 2018 big barrel bats are 2-3 ounces heavier than the 2017 version. Blame the new regulations.

My son is 56" and 83lbs. We got the 30/18 size. This is a really good bat. My son loves this bat. The ball pops of the bat and has a really nice sound. My son has a lot of confidence in his swing now. The balance if fantastic, power is great. Also it says Beast on the Bat so I think that gives my son a little more confidence as well. More expensive than the alternatives but I, and my son, feel that it was worth it. Highly recommend this bat.

As it seems with most of the new USA Bats, the bat is heavier than it's stated weight. We purchased a 28/16, and it weighs 18.3 ounces. Other Easton bats we have purchased in the past are much closer, usually within a 1/2 ounce of the stated weight. In fact, many were exactly the weight listed on the barrel.Compared to the S450, this one does seem better balanced and my son prefers it over that model. Is it worth twice the price? I don't know. I think for an 8-9 year old this might be a little overkill but we'll go with it and see how it works out.

Very nice bat, looks great and sounds good too. My 8u grandson loves it. We got him the 28" drop -12. He's playing his first season. I definitely wouldn't use it myself and we only practice with 8u recreational practice balls. An adult or HS player using a different ball might definitely dent this bat. Makes a great entry level bat and it has the USA sticker...

Good value lightweight bat. Still winter training, so will have to see hiw he goes during the season.
