Fantastic Upgrade From Membrane
I purchased this product as a replacement for my old membrane keyboard, the Razer Cynosa Chroma, as some of the keys were beginning to act funny, and having always wanted to try a mechanical keyboard I figured I'd give this a shot. Boy am I ever glad that I did. Starting with the overall look of the board, well, if all black and subtle design is your thing you will not be disappointed, and I personally love the sleek look of this board. The feel is great, with an all metal build and absolutely no deck flex while typing or pressing very hard due to the rigid metal body. It's weighted too and, coupled with the pads and small feet extensions on the bottom side, this keyboard will not slide around during use. As for comfort, part of that will depend on your desktop setup, but for me it's been great using a keyboard this comfortable. The typing experience is wonderful, the keys require the perfect actuation force to use, feel great, and the opto-mechanical switches are clicky and tactile, which I love. For people in an office though, you should opt for a quieter switch, as these are definitely not quiet at all. Regardless of which switch you opt for, however, rest assured that these keys are responsive and have yet to miss a keystroke. To continue to drive home the comfort of this board, I am actually typing this whole review on it and so far have felt no fatigue in any area whatsoever of either of my hands or arms. Going back and pressing some keys on a membrane keyboard is wild in terms of just how different they both sound and feel, and I kind of feel spoiled with just how comfortable using this board is in comparison to, really, any membrane keyboard on the market. The RGB backlighting is per-key, so expect high quality lighting across the whole spectrum. In fact, if white backlighting is more your thing, this keyboard can produce very accurate whites for an RGB setup. Overall I adore this keyboard, with the only pitfalls that I've ran into being that the keys show grease a bit more easily than other keyboards I've used in the past, but that's to be expected to some degree when working with anything being touched as often as a keyboard. I would absolutely recommend, should you have the budget for a keyboard like this, that you pick this up. You will not regret your purchase, just make sure you select the right switch for you.

This is a review for the overall keyboard not just one part or effect.
The Razor Huntsman is an amazing keyboard for gaming and day to day life. Its fast response will keep you and your character ready for anything. These are some of the highpoints I have noticed from playing and researching this keyboard. The L.E. D’s will stay bright and shining for a little extra gamer flair. It has an amazing “click” to let you know its Opto mechanical. Me, as an extremely competitive gamer, loves the quick response time. The quality of this keyboard is really exquisite, Because of the firmness and the metal back board it makes this an extremely nice keyboard to game with. This keyboard is by far my favorite out of all of the keyboards I have owned. It has an amazing feel and texture to the keys making this keyboard feel and sound nice. It is easy to change the LED’s and to use. You can customize the keys which makes this a great keyboard for gaming or wanting a change of style. It’s L.E.D’s are bright yet best used in a dark room. This keyboard has an extremely reasonable price for what it offers in the gaming world. This is one of Razors greatest achievements and I definitely recommend this keyboard.

beautiful, comfy, and clacky! single nitpick..
I love the action on the keys, it's an almost philosophical experience. They're just weighty enough that every key press feels like it has consequence... I'm not sure how to explain it. On my laptop, the keys feel like buttons... but on this keyboard, they feel like switches. It's just very satisfying, trust me. I also appreciate how vibrant the glow below the keys is without being distracting at night. They're a bit louder than my previous keyboard, but I like that– at any rate, there's probably no way to get as satisfying a key press if they were to be made quieter, that's just physics. More importantly, neither my partner or I have any trouble falling asleep while the other is working or gaming.Something I found interesting was that only one symbol per key is illuminated. For example, the forward slash gets illuminated, but the question mark is painted on that same key. I appreciate how it makes for a cleaner aesthetic, but it's something to note for some potential buyers maybe? My *one* nitpick is that the Razer Chroma software doesn't allow for more sophisticated lighting *patterns* than the presets. It's true that you can play with the colors and patterns of individual keys, but for example: the ripple pattern that makes light ripple outwards from whatever key you press should also have the "opposite" option, to have darkness ripple outwards on an already lit keyboard. But that's literally a TINY nitpick, this keyboard is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone.

Finally ... the right keyboard for everything
I have bought a lot of mechanical keyboards over the last 4 or 5 years. Cherry MX Green, Blue, Red … "other" brand White, speed, black ... different gimmicks … different brands. Up until ~ 1 year ago I was convinced that MX Green were my favorite. Really hard to make a typo on those given the actuation force. And, of course, I needed a new keyboard and finding one with Green switches is near impossible. So I gave this a shot as it's Razer and it's on sale. I read a lot about this and realized that the opti-mechanical switches like this have are not only sort of new tech but very good new tech.I have to say that this finally does it all correctly. It's clicky enough, its stiff enough to avoid typos, its very fast, its very customizable, and I am typing work faster than I ever have. Gaming is great in it too... I can execute commands instantly in any game and very rarely mistype or fat finger it.There is room to improve. Razer needs to let you save your lighting profiles to the damn keyboard. You cannot do this, even in 2020. The keycaps are not double shot and the secondary functions on keys do not light up. They need to fix this as well.I want to go 4.5 stars on this, but its either 4 or 5. I can forgive the little things.

Perfect for performance pushers!
Is it a significant improvement over traditional mechanical keyboards? Not at all.Is the performance noticeable over other high-end keyboards? No it is not.Is it worth buying for most gamers? Absolutely not. Will the negligible delay make you rely more on your own skill and reaction time? Hell yeah it will!Is it an awesome LASER KEYBOARD with 1MS INPUT LAG? Hell yeah it is!Does the marginal improvement make this keyboard worth buying for performance pushers?? HELL YEAH IT DOES.LASER. KEYBOARD.Also it's pretty high up off the desk, but that's likely my own setup. Keys are very responsive and snappy, and feel AMAZING. It won't make you a gamer god but it'll remove the usual input lag that even high-end mechanical keyboards give you so you can rely more on your own skills instead of having to put up with decreased personal performance.Average human reaction time is around 200-280 milliseconds. I'd rather have 201ms than 205ms. Negligible difference? Yes. Probably not worth it for most people but there's a sense of pride that comes along with having a laser-breaker keyboard when everyone else has a glorified ratchet mechanism.

Great keyboard 5 star
This is a very solid and overall great keyboard. The RGB is very nice with all the colours you need. Software is pretty easy to use. The purple switches feel great and sound great too. This is a huge upgrade from the one I had before. The mechanical switches make it so much easier to play games with, my performance has increased so much. Must have, very well priced for what it is.
