The MSR Elixir series is ideal for newer backpackers and those who want a super-versatile shelter for a variety of adventures that’s easy to set up and a great value. Already a backcountry mansion thanks to features like spacious vestibules and gear lofts, the Elixir now has even more room to stretch out on modern wide sleeping pads. Updated fabric coatings increase hydrolysis resistance to improve durability, waterproofness and extend the life of the tent. The updated Elixir still includes a footprint, perfect for newer users getting into camping and backpacking.

This apparently is not considered a fault, and they have told me I need to waterproof my tent! I've had it for less than a year. My cheap old Eurohike offered me years of waterproof protection, but this which cost me at least five times more cannot even survive one year! Avoid at all costs

My 2nd MSR tent. Had original model bought in 2014. Still in great condition. The new green color looks great. Used for ATV Camping. It packs nice, plenty of space for 1. Easy to set up. Held up well on one rainy night no leaks. plenty of vestibule space to leave gear under rain fly. Highly recommend
