Excellent Kettle, Heats Up So Quickly
Excellent Kettle, Heats Up So QuicklyI am extremely pleased with my new GABERLEE Electric Kettle. The 3000W power is fantastic—it boils a full 1.7L of water incredibly fast, which is a huge time-saver in the mornings. I love the sleek design with the glass body and black finish; it looks very modern on my kitchen counter. The kettle is easy to fill and pour, very light and the handle is comfortable to hold and durable. The blue LED light when it's boiling is a nice touch and adds to the stylish look. It's also very easy to clean. Overall, it's a high-quality, efficient, and stylish kettle that I would highly recommend. A great purchase!

This is NOT a 3KW 'fast boil' kettle.
I bought this kettle as a replacement for my Russell Hobbs kettle which was showing it's age. I used it for the first time today as the Russell Hobbs switch finally failed.I filled it to the max line (1.7 litres) then switched on. I waited... and waited and waited and it finally boiled spewing water from the spout. Not a huge amount but enough to be troublesome and unsafe. I didn't measure the time to boil but it was considerably longer than my 1.7 litre Russell Hobbs kettle. I poured water from the kettle and I can only say that I've never seen a kettle pour so badly or slowly. The Hobbs kettle poured smoothly and at a decent rate. Next step was to measure the time to boil a measured mug of water which is how I generally use the Russell Hobbs. Once again, I didn't measure the time taken to boil but I can say it took at least three times longer than the Russell Hobbs which usually boils a mug of water in around 40 seconds, even with refrigerated water.I decided to dig out my measuring equipment. The rated 3 Kilowatts is totally erroneous as suspected. I measured a peak of 1.43 Kilowatts at an exact 230volts and 50 Hertz mains frequency.Next is the 'keep warm' feature; sorry, gimmick! First, there are good health reasons for not keeping boiled water warm for further use later, in for example, tea. Do a search and find out why re-boiled water is not a good idea. The second point is that keeping this thing on keep warm is wasting energy and your hard earned cash. You could end up paying more than if you had simply boiled freshly drawn water. That of course depends on the length of time 'keep warm' was in operation. The lid. On first filling, the lid stayed open while it was filled. On any subsequent filling, the lid would not stay open, indicating that the plastics had warped (not obviously visible). If you have just boiled the kettle and wish to refill it from a tap to boil it again, you will have difficulty unless you have three hands. One to hold the kettle, one to lift and hold open the lid and one to operate the tap. Obviously water from a jug or filter is easier. Only the usually supplied two hands are required. Oh, did I mention that if it had been a 3 Kilowatt kettle, the cable would not have been adequate? I could go on and on but in summary...Would I buy again? NO! Not even as a gift for a hated person. It is wrongly advertised, I consider it dangerous for some, under certain circumstances and overpriced for what it is. A cheap plastic Cookworks kettle is preferable. I wonder if it would pass an electrical breakdown test. I may test later. Do yourself a favour and avoid this product. One can buy a 3 Kilowatt kettle of decent pedigree for around the same price or much higher if you want a designer type. Even with the LED's if that's what floats your boat. I'm off to track down a new decent non Chinese designed kettle. Yes most are made in China anyway but a pedigree British designed (or European if you must!) kettle will be made to a better spec. Maybe I'll buy another Russell Hobbs as it lasted for over 10 years without problems. Other brands are available!

Cheap Kettle but does have drawbacks
This is a great kettle, for the price. Holds a good amount of water, which means less filling. The 'Stay Warm' feature is good, too, as it means it doesn't take that long to boil again, after initial boil. I have seen other reviews state that it is "fast to boil and quiet", which it is neither. It gets rather noisy once it starts to boil, but once you put it in the 'Stay Warm' state, it very quiet. The look is sleek and modern, and I have yet to see any grime of limescale in the kettle. That is always a bonus to me. The downside of the kettle has been the slight metallic taste it seems to add, for some reason. Haven't seen anyone else with this issue, so hopefully it is just due to it being still relatively new, even though it has had quite a good amount of boils. This is the reason, along with the speed to boiling and noise when boiling are the reasons this isnt a 5* review. But, for a cheap kettle, with a modern design, you cannot really knock it.

Nice and Cheap works ok
Well it’s nice and cheap and it achieves the ability to boil water, you can tell it’s a bit cheaper than some others though by how it feels and the lid isn’t exactly that great it’s stiff opening the lid and it seems to close up on its own oh and the filter doesn’t seem to cover the whole of the water spout but it’s a nice wide kettle and easy for cleaning. If you just want a basic cheap kettle then this is ok for that and the stay warm function is a nice little touch too. £23 you can’t really go wrong.

Perfect. Absolutely perfect!!!
Perfect. This kettle is great I love how it works and how you can see the water become heated it's great for how big it is and fast to boil. Fairly light too.

Not suitable for people with mobility issues
Looks good but not a very effective kettle! Once it starts boiling takes about 3 minutes to auto shutdown. The handle isn't comfy and there is no proper hinge on the lid.It was based as double wall for heat resistance but the glass is not fully covered and it's so warm it burns. As a disabled person I don't recommend this product in fact I've already bought a better one.

Great value
I had mixed feelings about this by reviews. But I am pleased with product. Not noise as some claimed or the fact it poured slow.I think it's great for the flow, quieter than most kettles. Great lead for base not to long. So far so good and for the price I think it's great.
