Calypso Snorkeling Raft

Purchased this for my 9 year old grandson who struggles to swim as he quite literally sinks! While his older brother swims like a fish and was really enjoying snorkeling, youngest was sad - so in order to allow youngest to enjoy a little more, we rolled the dice on this snorkel raft. I balked a bit at the price - but I have to say - it works really well and is quite heavy duty. Youngest really enjoyed using it and was thrilled he could see the things the oldest was reporting. Has hooks for easy lashing, holding on it and even a place to mount a go-pro or other camera. It's taken some pretty good abuse and is still inflated. So far, so good. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. I also refuse to 'change' my review for a refund of a product I have given a poor review - and that is offered from time to time. It's a shame they phased this rating system out because it did help you see who has been around the longest and who is a trustworthy reviewer.  I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - over 6,200 reviews posted, those reviews have been viewed well over 50,000 times, including well over 26,000 likes. BOTTOM LINE:  I pay for all my stuff, just like you do.

We purchased this for our 2 and 5 year old and they love it. We can snorkel while they look at fish through the window. Other reviews mentioned they could fit 2 children on together but we didn’t feel safe having both kids on at once while in the ocean. That being said, we like this enough that we would buy another one for next summer.

I bought this past summer to use on my Caribbean cruise snorkeling excursion, took it fresh out of the box, blew it up and had to add 14 bottles of water to it causing it to be very heavy to carry, it sprung a water leak before I even got to use it!!! Great idea for people with glasses, very bad idea for weight and the leak, return window now closed for return

Don't waste you time or money on this raft!!! I finally got around to using, since I just moved to Hawaii. What a perfect place to be able to use something like this, right? Anyway, reading through the directions, you need to fill the clear window chamber with water, which has be be at least 2 or more gallons of water! I thought.... Hmmm, this is going to cause the raft to be awfully heavy, and It Was!!! Had to use a wagon to get it to the beach, then drag it into the ocean. I saw 2 fish, and which the clarity was So Bad through the window it definitely wasn't worth the hassle. Just use a snorkel and mask, and Don't buy this raft! ;-)

Best raft ever for those who don't want to use a snorkel and mask or aren't strong swimmers. Bought this for a friend who wears glasses and can't use a mask without corrective lens. Sturdy enough for large adults and open surf. The brackets for go-pro cameras are a great idea but I didn't use that feature yet.

Quality is fantastic, very sturdy: however, our 8-year-old grandchildren found it too heavy and let water our of observation windows.

Product got delayed in delivery so we only got it upon our return of vacation. The package is very heavy
