SEI Furniture Gear Hand Painted Art Wall Clock, Aged Metallic

After redecorating our family room, I found myself with a very large vacant area on one wall. Having several antique (non working) clocks in the room when I found this, I thought it would serve two purposes.1. Fill that empty space and 2. give me the correct time at a glance. I also love the "Steampunk" style of decorating. My home is very eclectic. This clock fit right in. It filled that large area and the clock itself keeps good time. Although it is made of thin and lightweight materials that make it look a little cheaper than I had hoped. But for now, it serves it's purpose. To fill in the area, I stenciled the word "Time..." on the wall above the armature on the left of the clock and finished the sentence "is an illusion" on the wall to the right of the face of the clock. It helped to round out the look and give more depth to the clock itself. The idea of it is wonderful, the quality of the materials used are a little lack luster. But as I said, it serves it's purpose..this is why it only got 4 stars from me. I thought the price was reasonable for what I received.

The metal Gear Clock is beautiful and fits my decor well. I initially thought it was a clock with moving gears but the piece is gorgeous even though the gears don’t move. The clock operates on 1-AA battery and the time stays accurate. Since I just purchased the clock, I am not sure of the battery life but changing the battery will be easy because the clock is light weight and can be easily removed and remounted.

I read the negative reviews. Come on. Are you really serious?!This is not functional nor heavy cast iron. The gears are for looks and heavy enough to make it perfectly sturdy. The packaging was A bomb proof...the thing arrived in 2 days and its large and 3d and hung perfect on its sturdy stand offs. so easy. I found it a little dark for my wall, so.... i taped off a few gears and frosted them with satin nickel spray. Great industrial look and at under 80 bucks you just cant go wrong...unless you were expecting Big Ben custom painted to your room.

We had a cool clock on the wall, but the motor thing failed. Rather than deal with it, we were back on the hunt for a new cool clock. Preferably one with gears or gear-looking. My husband picked this one out and we bought it. We knew it wasn't real gears to begin with, so we had realistic expectations. I like it. It seems well made and the hooks are lined up perfectly that if you use a level when lining up the screws on the wall, your clock will be level. It fit perfectly into my style of decor and I would recommend it to others.PS: Shipping was super fast with standard shipping. It came from Texas. The box was a little bear up, but the packing protected the clock very effectively.

Bought for my son and he loves it as it matches his industrial look decor. There is no glass over the hands but that's not a problem for me. Obviously the other gears don't move and are decorative only. This was the best price around and arrived within a few days.

This is a very stylish wall clock, it's very large, make sure you use a tape measure before you put it on the wall.A few things, the price on this is great, but conversely you get what you pay for. It's definitely art and not old used industrial pieces. It's made out of lightweight tin (i think) its very easy to bend if you aren't very careful with it.It's got your classic tick tock sound to it and can be very loud if you aren't used to it. The mounting points are not even so you can't level them ahead of time it basically needs to be mounted by eye, so you will need help. Overall I like it, just wish that it was made of stronger materials.

SEI Furniture Metal Gear Wall Art Clockthe actual appearance vs. the photos was a letdown. it is simply cut out flat pieces of sheet metal, riveted together and painted. i was not impressed with the quality of the paint job.the biggest problem i had with this item was that the hooks on the back side were NOT in line horizontally! in other words to get the clock face to show the 12 and 6 to line up vertically one of the hooks needed to be mounted about 1 1/2" higher than the other. WAY TOO MUCH EFFORT FOR MY TASTE SO I GAVE IT AWAY.

I love it!! It looks really nice, I will say it's thin but sturdy, weighs about 5-6 pounds. The dimensions described are accurate. It's looks just like the pic. I'm pleased however there were a couple areas that were bent which was easy to straighten out. Most metal art your gonna pay a bit and I found the price on this piece fair, and it looks great on the wall. Easy to hang, my husband likes it too.
