Sesame oil, a natural antibacterial for common skin pathogens (such as staphylococcus and streptococcus), as well as common skin fungi (including yeast infections), is also a natural antiviral and anti-inflammatory agent.  For Best Results: Start with a clean dog. Trim long hair with scissors, but do not shave. Apply Skin Rescue Lotion to affected areas, massaging into skin until fully absorbed. Cover pet with T-shirt to protect the skin and reduce licking. Review: Natural and Effective Product - Helped my Dog's Recovery - My pom started losing a lot of hair on his back legs and the top of his back, and his exposed skin turned black. I tried this product out of desperation. I followed the instructions and also some very helpful suggestions from other reviewers. My pom was very cooperative and seemed to know that this was to help him. I used the lotion consistently for about 30 days, and I started to see black skin peeling off in spots and tiny new growth appearing. While I used the lotion, I also added egg yolks to his diet. It is always difficult to be sure that the recovery occurred due to the product or some other natural causes. However, I can confirm that the product smelled natural, did not bother my dog, and helped my dog recover from the dreaded black skin disease. It has been two months, and my dog is growing brand new hair all over. The first photo with the lotion bottle was taken on 3/19/26; the second photo is from today, 6/3/26. In the third picture, you can see that he was not bothered by the lotion nor the little onesie pajama at night after the lotion was applied.
