Seems to work well and holds a charge for a decent amount of time. Very happy with it.

Utilizing aftermarket batteries can be a complex problem. In years past, I had found some replacement batteries to not be a good match for the original sometimes below par. That is not my sense of this battery for my Makita. I've liked the Makita drill for many years and although it was 12 volt, it has been highly dependable and a "go to" tool. I've begun to use this replacement battery and it has not been problematic. It has been a perfect fit and appears to almost be the same as the original except for some labeling. It is holding a charge very well with great torque. Thus far, I am very very pleased with its performance.

Occasional use is hard on this light duty impact tool so I don't really care how long the battery lasts. It works a heck of a lot better than the lifeless originals. BTW, the impact is close to 8 years old. The important question is would I buy another and the answer is yes. I will get a second battery at some point when I begin to use this tool more on various projects.

This is the second time I had to replace the batteries for my old Makita drill. The original OEM batteries only lasted a few years. I bought a single replacement battery in January of 2011, and have abused it regularly. Although it's still working well, it does seem to lose some of its charge after non-use. But that battery was definitely a worthwhile purchase. Why tell you this? It's an "Expert Power" battery, too. I am impressed.
