I picked up just one Peak Refuel Biscuits & Sausage Gravy meal for a long road trip, and now I’m kicking myself for not grabbing a few extras. It’s surprisingly good — genuinely comforting, hearty, and far better than other freeze‑dried breakfasts I’ve tried. The biscuits were larger than I expected, which was a nice surprise, but it did change the rehydration a bit. Next time I’ll make sure to bury the biscuit pieces under the gravy mixture during the soak time. I didn’t do that on this first try, and the biscuits stayed pretty dry and crunchy. Still tasty, just not fully softened. Flavor-wise, though, Peak Refuel nailed it. The sausage gravy is rich and satisfying, and the portion felt generous. For camping, road trips, or emergency food storage, this is one I’ll definitely buy again — and in multiples.

I bought this to text meals for some hiking trips planned and I also wanted to try the biscuits and sausage gravy because I’ve missed seeming my fam back in South: was not disappointed. 5 stars. I moved to the Canadian Prairies from the south several years and one of the most difficult meals to find is biscuits and sausage gravy. I’ve been craving it since the pandemic because i’ve not been back home. This freeze-dried version passes the yummy yummy vibe check. Legit gave me a sense home and memories. I was skeptical at first but the first bite was phenomenal; it brought back memories of family brekkie at my grandmas. The taste is near the same; the texture of gravy was a thinner (but i added a splash too much of water). this is the legit best biscuits and gravy this southern boy has had in anywhere in Canada (besides when I make it from scratch). Y’all not only does the meal taste good; it’s high in protein. 10/10 recommend for camping/hiking. Also, for a biscuits & sausage gravy fix when you don’t wanna go through the hassle at home. I added dollop of butter, pinch of red pepper flakes and a dash of pepper. (that’s how we did back home.) So, Buy it without hesitation. And thank you again Peak Refeul for good food and taste of nostalgia from home. 🫂🤗 Only negative: The instructions are really difficult to read. The font needs to be bigger or a colour that contrasts better with outlining. If I were in my house i would have trouble reading.

I’ve purchased 10+ over the years and will continue to. Peak2refuel makes ghetto tasting freeze dried meals and specifically the biscuits and gravy is top notch. It reconstitutes well and isn’t just a soupy mess. There are chunks of biscuit and a good amount of sausage to gravy ratio. I use them hiking camping over landing and even have used it at our house during a hurricane power outage.

I've tried a ton of different freeze dried meals and this is by far the best I've ever had.

Very easy to prepare, just follow the instructions. Expensive, but tasted great and I got 3 days of breakfast out of 1 pack (not hiking, just sit behind desk work day). The flavor is outstanding. I ate one third of the pack for three consecutive days. Day 1, this biscuits had the consistency of dry biscuits (I will let it set longer next time) and the sausage was smallish/hardish. Day 2 after re-heating 1 min in microwave (on plate), the flavor was even better, the sausage was plumper/better, but the biscuits were pretty soft (more like dumplings). Day three and the sausage was even better, the flavor was even better, but the consistency was really just like a thick gravy. No complaints - just sharing in case anyone is curious.
