Good quality
I bought this to use for removable labels. It works well for that, but the blue color is much darker than I had expected. It is hard to read the label even though I used a sharpie. The next time I will order a lighter color.

Good multi-purpose tape
Good multi-purpose tape, not just for painting.

>> DOES THE JOB
PROS -- Works well, good price, adequate adhesion, removes easily without leaving a residue.COMMENTS (not necessarily pros or cons -- depending on your purpose)Compared to 3M blue painter's tape (the original and the standard)--3M has significantly stronger adhesion. The IPG might be a better choice for delicate surfaces (such as paper, e.g., raw plasterboard).--3M paper feels stronger, less flexible. The IPG might be better for tightly curved lines. 3M is probably better for making straight lines.--3M is lighter blue and therefore more suitable for use as labels -- the IPG is too dark to make legible labels with a black sharpie.--The IPG tape doesn't stick well to itself --- so it is easier to pull off the roll, perfect for paint masking. But there are numerous applications/situations when I want it masking tape to stick to itself -- e.g. when used to hold a bandage in place, or to bundle poles together, or to mark/label jars --- in which case the 3M tape is superior.--For general purposes (labels, temporary band-aids, temporary attachments or bundling things together, etc) I prefer 3M.

Ok but not as good as other leading brand
I tried this because it was cheaper than the scotch painters tape we got before, but I'll pay the extra money next time.. The adhesion isn't as good on this one.

Better than the brand name stuff, for marking at least
I recently used up this roll of tape and started a roll of the brand name (3M / Scotch Original), and realized how much better Pro Mask is. The 3M tape seems thinner, and frequently tears as I pull it off the roll- I'm not sure if it's weaker, thinner, or has a stronger adhesive (maybe all of those). All I know is the Pro Mask was easier to work with.I should mention that I don't use this for painting, but for temporarily marking walls- I do lots of mounting / hanging of TVs, mirrors, shelves etc, and use tape to mark centers, studs, height of shelves etc without leaving pencil marks on walls. Usually the tape is in place for just an hour or so or less. The tape sticks well, removes easily, and rarely damages any paint (rarely some paint will come off with tape, but that happens with any blue tape in my experience- probably because of a cheap paint job or lack of primer..). So for painting your experience may be different, but for my purposes this is the best blue tape I've used.

Good Stuff...at a decent price!!!
Works as well as the 'name brand', but costs a whole lot less. I had to paint the trim around the baseboards of my staircase and I have carpet, so I put tape over the carpet to hold it down on the bottom of the trim and I put tape above the trim and it was SO easy then to paint my beautiful Bright White Semi Gloss trim and make my stairway look Perfect because of this tape...it stayed where I put it for the two days it took me to complete my project and it was easy to remove and left my trim perfectly covered and not a drop on the carpet or the walls!!! thank you!!
