The low marks had to do with the thinness of the padding. These Helikon-Tex Pads are also 6 mm think but I found them to be of quite adequate thickness. I’m 6’2” and 180 lbs and I use them in my Hel-Tex UTP pants when I’m backpacking. This means rocky, stony hard ground with plenty of sticks & thorns. So far no problems. They stay put & give good protection. Inserting them was a bit of a hassle at first but I figured out the hack of rolling them first then inserting them. I do remove them prior to washing the pants as I’m not sure how they’ll hold up with repeated trips through the was cycle. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome *by W***L on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on May 27, 2018* Had to cut them a little bit and they are washable I keep mine in my 511 pants and wash both at the same time.
