Good quality well-designed roomy storage for use by artists AND crafters.
SUMMARY: A handsome capacious paintbrush and craft tool storage rack. Well-made and with a smooth finish. Thoughtfully designed, with holes gradated from one side to the other, has two long slots, and areas of unused holes = shelf. Comes well-packaged and fully assembled. Expensive at first (you're paying for the Meedon name) but worth it long-term. Warning: it is large at 37.9cm wide by 20cm depth front to back. For art AND craft supplies. Recommended to all artists and general crafters.Bought the 2-tier rack, beechwood with walnut stain. Meedon do some matching items here on Amazon.DEFINITE PLUS: I love the holes being gradated with the largest to smallest going from one SIDE to the other side, in this case left to right, so you can have paintbrushes/tools of different girths IN THE SAME ROW, particularly in the front row for fast easy access to my most-used tools which happen to vary a lot in girth. The generous range of hole sizes is for paintbrushes and artist/crafter tools. (Lesser tool racks often have large holes only at the rear, and many don't have holes small enough for paintbrushes.)RECOMMENDED FOR FELLOW-CRAFTERS: The rack's holes take not just paintbrushes but pokey tool, sticky pick-up tool, SLIM bone folder, dusting brushes, brayers, emery boards, powder and wax melt spoons, SLIM craft knife (I've tested it with several leading makes) etc. You can use unused holes as shelf space for small things like kneadable eraser, glitter drops, texture pastes, ink pad refillers. See also below re the two long slots!Howver, the rack's mainly for painters and general arts and crafts. (If you do, say, diamond painting or quilling, you'll probably want racks designed for them.)THE TWO LONG SLOTS: Love these for crafting. The upper slot's good for scissors, I tested 24 pairs, all fitted, from large/long shears to small embroidery/decoupage scissors. The lower long slot stores my glue bottle upside down, actually takes two bottles ("yay!" from crafters). The long slots also take rulers, several in one go (I hear another "yay") (I tested with many rulers, longest 20 inches but it's not the length but the width that matters).FIT IN ANY "AWKWARD"-LENGTH TAPERED TOOL: Tool not quite tall enough? Paintbrush handle-ends don't need to rest on the rack, so put it in a hole that makes them stick up high enough without dropping through, see my red-handled brushes in my photo.
