Takes the fear out of bad weather ahead
Rain ahead? No problem. Take 10 seconds to put this on. You can sit on the back or drape it over your seat to keep your backside dry. The front drapes over the handlebars and keeps your upper thighs and shorts dry, and still allows plenty of ventilation. Your calves and feet will need some fenders and shoe covers, or just wear some flip flops in warmer conditions. You can don and doff other gear like gloves, beanies, and scarves under this because there is so much room. 10 seconds and it's off. Love love love this product.

Best cycling rain gear for your buck
I've waited to review until we have had a few solid downpours. This rain cape has kept me dry in the Pacific Northwest unpredictable weather. The hood of the cape fits snugly to the head and is comfortable when worn underneath a helmet. The clear side panels on the hood help improve peripheral visibility. The cape material itself seems pretty durable and I haven't noticed any wear and tear from folding it up inside of itself a few dozen times. The reflective visibility stripes are a nice feature, though the strips are rather narrow. The hand signal openings are large and allow you to signal and then return to the dry cocoon relatively easy.Cycling with a rain cape is more comfortable than rain jacket plus pants in warmer wet weather because it allows for excellent ventilation and it is quick to don and doff when the weather is variable. This cape (poncho) combines the essential features of the nicest rain capes with a reasonable price point.

Very high quality item!
It is waterproof. It is airtight. If someone wants to lose weight, dress like this and go to the gym. You sweat a lot in it and it makes you cold. But it doesn't let water through.

50 percent dry bicycling
pluses: kept my head and torso dry on down to about my knees. minuses: arms got wet, knees down got wet. this was bicycling. I ran over dog poop and the pancho got some rubbed on it since it hung down far enough that it rubbed on the bike tire. I do like the hood very much....the clear sides are much appreciated as I don't have to turn my head as far looking for cars. I was hoping to stay completely dry but was only like 50% dry so I have ordered rain pants from another company and a cheap 5 pack of rain panchos with sleeves.....this coat matches my new bicycle and I like the reflective strips but probably would work better for someone walking versus cycling.

Still Shining
Husband rides 15 miles to/from work in the PNW rain in the dark (most often). The reflective coating is still great after more than a year.

Not a bike poncho
It is waterproof that's all I can say about it. It's definitely NOT a bike poncho. It will not fit over a bike helmet so if it starts to rain you have to take your helmet off to get it on. The front drapes over the handlebars...until you start to ride. Then it blows back and exposed your handlebars and gloves. You have to wrap it around and hod it to your handlebars to keep it in place, then pray you don't have to use your brakes because it interferes with your brake levers. The back puffs up like a balloon. Your legs are exposed and will get soaked. There is no way to free your arms without hiking it up. The slits cut in if for your hands are too low to do any good.

Great and very visible
It’s quite large as expected. Wore it in a pretty significant downpour to walk my pup and was completely dry from mid-calf up. Workmanship is above what I expected for the price. I’ll never be able to get it folded down perfectly to fit in the pouch but not a big deal.

Big shoulders, dry though
I wore this for about an hour and a half in the rain and I was still dry but your forearms stick out of the pockets because there’s no sleeves really and it has huge shoulders as if you were a football player with pads. The front edge was flapping around my waist so I used my headlight strap and secured one corner to my handlebars and then I was much better off.with knees dry too

Comfortable and practical.
Fits well and comfortable to wear. Ventilates effectively so does not get sticky inside.
