15 years ahead of it's time
Solid story, amazing art, creative stories and compelling characters. The daughter of Spider-Man inherits his powers and does what you'd expect: She fulfills her responsibilities and becomes a super-hero herself. Loved this title.Current creators pretend they invented female protagonists and diverse casts. This collection proves them wrong.Cons:Tom Defalco's dialogue has always been weak. His characters don't talk like real people.Another con: This is Defalco's love letter to his prior works. If you didn't like Thunderstrike, his Fantastic Four run or his "good" Green Goblin series, that may distract from the story. I loved most of it, so it's fun to see these characters continue. Its still a 4.75 for me. This is great.

It's still a Spider-Girl world
One of Marvel's best forgotten series finally starts getting collected in its entirety. I could go on for paragraphs about how awesome this book is, but I'll just leave it with this. May Parker has that classic Spider feel as a character, and was a great solution to Marvel's constant desire to make Peter younger (in the days before Ultimate Spider-Man). Great characters, strong story telling, a definite must read.

Ridiculously excited
Spider Girl was my first comic as a kid. My dad would take me to the comic book store every week to get a comic and later to get the collections of it. I had loved the Tobey Maguire movies as a small child and was absolutely in love with a brown-haired blue-eyed superhero girl since that’s what I looked like, making it easy to imagine that i could grow up to be her (like all kids want to grow up to be a hero). I was devastated when they quit the original collections. I turned instead to old omnibuses for daredevil and ghost rider, who had been favorites along with Spider-man (Reilly Tyne aka Darkdevil was probably my first childhood crush since he had elements of all three ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). I stopped buying/reading comics altogether when my dad passed away 4 years ago since it was just kinda painful—comics and Star Wars were our things. However, I felt like it was time to read them again and wanted to get some extra copies of my smaller collection books since some are a tad beat up from childhood. When I looked them up, I saw this and am now excitedly reading through them again. I really hope they actually complete the series in these collections this time! They’re just like I remember!

LIKE FATHER, LIKE DAUGHTER
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. Well-written stories and great artwork. Spider-Girl is right up there with Batgirl, another one of my favorites. There are new bad guys and new superheroes for Spider-Girl to combat and try to ally with though many don't regard her as being in their league though we know different as she struggles to fit in and convince her parents that she is worthy of her father's legacy. A big bonus is that the pages are all in glorious color. Highly recommend. Great product for the money.

cool and retro
While I prefer the Spider-Family of Earth 18119 overall, This was fun to read and interesting when you compare it to the regular continuity and think about what really happened to characters like Phil Urich and Kane. It's a shame however that "Mayday" is the only MC2 hero who survived to this day. I personally enjoyed Wolverine's daughter, Wild Thing.

Underrated Character, Underrated Series
Spider-Girl is an amazing character (pun intended). I have the first few issues of her original series, but being young at the time I never kept up with it.Being able to have a collected volume such as this is a great way to be able to cherish a favorite and not have to contend with all the back-issues.Highly recommend!!

Un "what if" excellent

An Excellent Comic Series
I used to collect the digest size collections of Spider-Girl and loved them, so glad to see the series getting a full sized re-release, can't wait for volume 2!

Okay at best.
Well, the artwork is slightly off, Peter and MJ have both had personality transplants, and Mayday herself has a "flat" personality. The wit from every other Spiderverse title is missing, and it's just failed to sell me Spidergirl volumes 2 and 3.
