Rhode Island Novelty Flashing LED Bumpy Rings 24-Pack

I ordered 24 of these for a New Year's Eve party, and they came in the mail today. I saw that a few other reviewers had issues with a large portion of their batches not working, so I was a little worried, but of the 24 I got, only two of them didn't work. The ones that did work are very bright and flashy and look like they'll be a lot of fun on the dance floor. Overall I'm happy with them - 22 that work is a good value for the price.Update: By the time the party rolled around, three more weren't working. After I unboxed and tested them, all they did was sit on a table until the party started, so I'm not sure what happened there. These have three LED colors in each: red, yellow, and blue. The blue LEDs in most of the ones people were wearing went out after a couple of hours, but the red and yellow ones kept going for about 24 hours before finally dying (we left a few on after the party to see how long they lasted).

24 rings were individually wrapped and shipped in a cylindrical plastic container. The package was in a typical Amazon brown box with plenty of bubble wrap for cushioning. All of the 24 rings lit up when activated and also could be turned off. Six different colors arrived (the current product description lists only four colors: red, blue, purple, and yellow; manufacturer Rhode Island Novelty, vendor Valley Mall). My shipment did not contain any yellow rings. The six different colors I received areClearBluePurplePinkRed-orangeGreenSo four of each, and they all worked well. One warning is that they smell awful! It smells very strongly of petroleum or some such offensive, obviously chemical odor. I have over a month til I need these as party favors so I'm going to try airing them out, perhaps giving them a quick wash. Otherwise, they appear to be a good product.

I bought these for a bachelorette theme party. The colors are cute and even with the light off they look fun. However, the material is not the best quality and 2 of them didn’t work and never glowed for us. They served the purpose and the ones that did light up and glow looked so fun in the dark club that we partied at. They lasted for the whole club night experience but most of them stopped working by the time we got to the after party. So over all I’d say they lasted about 4 hours each. They served their purpose and for the price I might buy them again. Just a shame that 2 didn’t work when they came in.

These are fun, and can be switched on and off, although the little switch unit moves around inside the ring and is sometimes a little hard to locate. Every one I have tried so far has worked. The rings comes in a box of twelve, with a little spot for each so they are well presented, and two boxes make up the order. I will be using these to encourage my daughter to use her eyes to track the blinking light of a ring, and the different colour rings will be good as I think she sees a few colours well but not others. The blinking will attract her attention and hopefully she can enhance her ability to interpret visual inputs and 'learn' to see more colours and see with better acuity. Also, my seven year old son loves playing with the rings, and so do his friends.

We picked up a box of these (cheaply I must add) to give away to kids at parties, or just to keep them entertained when they start getting restless. For this purpose, they are fantastic. The LED lights are bright and flash rapidly.I'm fairly certain they could be considered seizure inducing. I haven't tested this as I don't know an epileptic, but will update the review once I get to know one.We haven't run into the defective issue others have mentioned, where they just plain don't work, but for the cost, I wouldn't be surprised. If you need exactly 24, perhaps you'll want to order a second box just in case.It should be noted that these are 3 piece items. The ring rubber is actually a top and bottom that are glued together or something, with the LED inside. My 3 year old successfully disassembled her ring inside of 3 seconds and was working on getting the batteries out before I caught her. So maybe you wanna keep this out of toddler hands, unless of course you want their bellies to glow like a Care Bear.

Dec 22nd: I bought 2 boxes of 12 rings each. In one box 2 rings didn't flash at all, and in the other box, 6 of them didn't work either. I sent the broken rings back, around the beginning of Dec 2013 and i have yet to get either my money back, OR, what i'd prefer, is 8 rings that do work. I suppose it was foolish of me, but i wanted a certain number of these for a New Year's party so i made another order of 1 more box. I have yet to hear from that company in China that make them. Yes, i was a fool for thinking i could get more rings to take the place of the broken ones. I have yet to take that company to task. Dec 23rd: I actually got the Flashing LED Bumpy rings! How delightful. And only one of them was broken, rather than the aforementioned 8 rings. I'm satisfied. I'll just let it go... I have enough for my purposes: a really fun pot luck, jam session, and party.

If you ever need to purchase novelties for a birthday party, an event for work or any holiday party. These rings were a huge hit with my family and friends. During the evening the lights were so cool to see with all of the variety of colors. The life on these lights depends on, if you wore it all day or not. A great idea to keep in thenglove box of your car for an emergency.
