This brace is comfortable and it works!
I've had multiple surgeries and fusions of my lumbar spine. Needless to say, I'm in constant pain. I've owned many inexpensive elastic braces. The velcro always wears out and the brace is useless. They also make me sweat. The expensive post surgical braces are good, but very bulky.Just got this brace. It's my first non-elastic brace. It's light weight, very thin and you can see through it. It's very comfortable and provides really nice support. The draw string adjustments are great. You can really customize the amount of support you need for your daily pain level. The thin plastic inserts in the back provide great stabilization of the spine. It's a little taller in the torso than most elastic braces which is good for overall support. I expect it will also be much cooler to wear.I'm taking it on a two week vacation next week. We'll see how it works.

Very supportive and comfortable back brace
This is a very comfortable and supportive back brace. My doctor recommended an Aspen back brace to help support my lower back. I have used a different type of brace before, the one with the hard large plastic support in the back. Although it was supportive, it can become uncomfortable after a while. The Aspen back brace is both supportive and comfortable. It has a draw string system that gets the brace nice and snug. The pictures on Amazon make the brace appear to be very bulky, however, it’s not. It is light weight and is made with a breathable fabric. No sweating issues with this brace.I currently wear a size 34 inch waist pants, however, I measured 36 around my midsection. I was in between sizes so I went with the Large size. It fits great. So if your in between sizes, go larger. If you are considering a back brace, this is a good one to get. It can be worn for hours without any discomfort. I hope this review helps.

Good Back Brace to battle lumbar pain.
My husband, who recently had back surgery, got this type of back brace through the VA. I really liked the way it stays on his lower back and seems to help his pain.I was happy to see the very same back brace offered via Amazon for a good price. After receiving it, I wore it a lot for several days. It goes on easily, the Velcro pads make securing it a snap and the cords to cinch the whole brace tighter work very well. You really feel like the brace is hugging you.Sometimes I cinched it too much and at other times not enough. It is a matter of trying out what is most comfortable while doing what it is supposed to and making sure it stays where it should. The tighter you cinch it (which I do when I have more back pain) the less comfortable it will be when you sit down, but that is to be expected. This brace sure keeps me standing straight when I am moving around the house and do chores. Sitting with it does become less comfortable after a while, but maybe I should just losen it up a bit. My husband never complains about being discontent while wearing his, and he has been wearing daily for 10 weeks in a row. So somehow, I think it might be me and the fact that I am built differently.Women usually have more waist as men, which means we don't put on a brace like this one by overlapping the two ends evenly and straight but rather in a slight angle to hug our shape better. I assume that this is the reason why I personally find sitting in it less comfortable. Try it out for yourself and decide.I continue to wear it when my back pain gets worse or when I do chores around the house. It sure helps me keep a better posture, which by itself has become pretty bad over time.I have 2 other back braces and besides the usual slight discomfort when sitting with it longer, the ASPEN Quikdraw PRO Back Brace is the best product I have had so far. If the side strings for cinching it hold up and don't tear with continued use, this is undoubtedly a very good and capable back brace to try out.

Genius!
This product is genius! Very much worth the $78. My old back brace was made of just soft materiel. This product has 3 built in hard plastic plates that lend real support to the back. When I first opened the item I was, totally, confused about a bunch of strings, but did, quickly, learn its purpose. The first step in putting on the brace is to wrap it around your torso((making sure that the two strings with Velcro handles hang down under the brace and in front of your body) and pull the built in strap for a snug fit and attaching that end to a Velcro base. Then holding the Velcro handles with each thumb pull and attach to the main brace. I suppose the string gizmo brings the plates together for the even snugger fit and support to the back. Additionally, there is a pocket at the back for either hot or cold compress. Quality item!

Best brace available...
The back brace is very helpful until i can see my back doctor to get a mylogram to see what has happened to my back( i have had 3 previous surgeries). Tightening the strings takes the edge off the extreme pain I'm in so I can walk to the bath or kitchen or to my car. I wear it through out the day and evening. I even sleep with it on. It holds my back together so no further damage is done. I had a very similiar brace after I had my fusion that I wore for over a year. I loaned it out and never saw it again, probably do to the fact that this type of brace really works. Especially works really well for severe pain. If your in serious pain or need to lift heavy things or push or pull stuff this type of brace can save you doctor bills or worse yet a surgical procedure.

I wish it was higher
This works great, and is easy to put on and adjust. I wish it was higher, to go from underbelly to below the breast.

Comfortable and easy to use
I've worn back braces for years. Not so much to brace my back as it keeps by lower back warm. I've used 20+ hernea belts from a discount hardware store, but they have to be replaced often. Their velcrow fastener "puckers" after a while and that shows through my shirts. The Aspen belt has a more rigid velcrow overlap and the strings allow for the belt to confirm to my less-than-ideal profile. I paid more for this brace, but it seems worth the extra investment.
