I got them for casual wear, but also to ride in. However, I have not ridden in them yet, as my horses is being transported to my new location and I haven't ridden for awhile. They seem too nice to get dirty in the barn, but I will go with other reviews and waterproof them and wear them as anticipated. I usually wear a women's size 8, but after going to an equine expo where I tried on Dublin's, I found the size 7.5 to be the right fit for me. So order a 1/2 size down for proper fit. The color is as shown in the picture. The width is good for my foot which is average to a "tad" wider. I can't wait to wear them more often. I barely got my toes into the ankle area with a sock on. Didn’t push it after reading other reviews where they had to cut the boot off because it was stuck.Has a nice calf width but not the best fit for me.
