Punch & File
This review is for Meprolight front and rear day and self-illumated night sights for the Bersa Thunder 380 Plus. I always had good results with Meprolight products and this is no exception. It is solidly made and sufficiently bright in a dark setting. The white dots are approximately 0.125" wider in diameter, beefier than the stock sights and did not interfere with holstering / re-holstering in my Craft leather holster. Installation: The front sight came off easily with a sight pusher, but the rear sight may have been installed using a heat treatment. Using a sight pusher damaged the top of the thin stock rear sight. Using a brass rod on the base of the sight bent the rod (probably was a cheap rod in the first place), resorted to using a steel punch. Even with that, it still required a great deal of pounding. Instructions state that the new sights should be installed right to left, add some locktite and may require some filing - they were right, it was a very tight fit. But what I notice during the initial fitting was that the new sight was shaving the paint in the dove tail and on the top of the slide off. I filed down the dovetail and a small portion of the slide to remove the paint and a wee bit of metal. Since they are tubes and can be broken, I used some penetrating oil and a wooden dowel to get it started about 1/8 of the way in and finished the install / centering using a sight pusher. I did not use locktite because I wanted to be able to adjust the sights as needed when I got to the range; besides, I felt that both went in so tight that the recoil would not move them once aligned. Over 300 rounds and two back-up gun competitions later, the sights are tight and much easier to pickup than the stock ones. Now I that my CCW has night sights, I feel more confident of where I am pointing the weapon in low ambient light situations.

Doesn't fit the Bersa Thunder 380
I was very disappointed to find out this sight doesn't actually fit the Bersa Thunder 380. When I received it and couldn't figure out how it would fit the gun, I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. I took the gun and sights to a gun smith. He said the front sight would work, but the rear sight won't. We speculated this unit was designed on computer and put straight to manufacturing since if anyone tried to mount the rear sight, they would quickly see it won't fit properly. Hopefully the manufacturer figures this out and corrects the design flaw soon. Other than this design issue, the product appears that it would have been adequate. This problem had nothing to do with the seller. It was shipped quickly and the return accepted without any issues.

Good fit. Brighter than stock sights
Fit right onto slide. Good visibility is low/no light.

AWESOME
I love these sights for my Bersa Thunder 380 Plus- Very bright, easy to find in total darkness, even without contacts in or glasses on I can see the glow across the room.I added the ultra bright green ArmaLaser TR29G to the firearm as well.Although they can be spendy additions, I have 100% confidence if anything goes bump in the night, my last concerns are gonna be if I'm able to accurately line up a shot if needed.

These do work in older Bersa 380's
These do fit the Bersa 380 if you have an older model with a staked front sight. There is some fitting required and I had to drill a small hole in the lower side of the slide to drive out the old sight and peen the new one into place.I used a small dremel bit to remove the old swage head before driving the old sight out.Tap the new sight in and then peen the inside to lock it.The rear sight requires the removal of the old movable sight-blade, and you will need to file off the small ears on each side of the rear base. The rear base does not need to be removed. The sights work perfectly, but I only gave them 4 stars because of the amount of gunsmithing required to install them. These should be installed by a gunsmith

Terrific buy! Great quality
Good quality sights. Took a file fit to get it to run in all the way on the rear sight. The front sight was no problem.Getting the old sight out was a huge chore, even with a sight press tool. I thought I was going to break something, but fortunately didn't.Just make sure you take it easy with the file and continually test fit. Snug is good, but be patient. The sights are also very bright. Even brighter than a set of trijicons I just picked up for another pistol. I will definitely be buying another set in the future.

Not a good review for the thunder bersa 380 meprolight site install.
Worst experience. Understand now there are no less than 8 different sight configurations over the model years of Bersa thunder 380s. This whole experience cost me over $250 because, in the package it tells you to have a gunsmith apply the sights. They aren't kidding. In order to adapt these the gunsmith even had to make a specific tool to take off the front sight and flare the replacement screw. Lesson learned no more fuzzy foreign guns and have a gunsmith order and install your parts from the beginning.
