This is a perfect personal humidifier
This is a perfect personal humidifier. Ignore the negative reviews, I think they just haven't used this type before. I have advice for them below.IMPORTANT: There is no "UV light" and my unit does not glow like their picture. It is NOT too bright. I have a dark bedroom and I was concerned about that glow, but I wanted the anti-bac UV. LOL. That is a lie. Even if it did glow it's not a UV light, it's just blue plastic. This has an indicator light like most electronics. Not much brighter than my cell phone charge light. The picture on the package does not show a glow, and the description doesn't mention "UV light". Ignore that garbage. The directions ask for a 0.5 L bottle. I used a 1 L bottle and fill it half to 3/4 full. Try a variety of bottles. I've found that most name brands these days are going for thinner bottles to save packaging. Try a generic drink. I used my supermarket brand seltzer bottle and it's firm enough to prevent leaks. To the people having problems with this unit:1 - if it leaks, try a different bottle. This type of humidifier is very pick. You need firm sided bottles, not too big and not too small. Also the connector is tough to get in initially, take it out ans try again.2 - To the "melted" people: DON'T RUN IT 24 HOURS A DAY!. This is an inexpensive item. Buy a proper humidifier that costs 2 or 3 times the price if you want a 24/7 unit. Or at least turn it off for 20 minutes after it empties. Do not let it run dry, it won't turn itself off.3 - "It wobbles". Really? Read the book. First off, it says that the bottle will tilt as it empties. Second, The holder is asymmetrical: it only fits in one way. I ran it for a couple days before I noticed the key side. It ran fine, but it runs as well once it's seated properly. If the bottle is low on water it will NOT sit flat, it will tilt. Still works though.

Awesome! It use one bottle of water a night. It is also portable for travel.
I love the product! This is my second unit. The first one I returned do to leaking and not working. The second unit lasted 6 weeks and is leaking too. It is past the return date so I have to keep the junk. Don’t waste your money because they don’t last for long.

very disappointed
I just received this in the mail and was very anxious to use it. This is the third humidifier of this size that I have owned and so I am very familiar with the way it works. When I put the bottle of water in, water immediately started running out the bottom and it would never start working. I am guessing I received one that someone else had returned because the packaging was unusually easy to open. I will be sending it back and finding another brand.

Work good
It works good but only in a small space, or close personal use only

Good, mildly fragile
Overall good for travel, needs to be used on bedside table (close to face). Mildly fragile, need to be careful to not get the internals wet. Nice and compact. Wish the travel bag were slightly larger to make it easier to store the device and power supply.

Keep an eye on the water level
This is my 2nd one (I wore out the 1st one). I bought the 1st one to use in a hotel room that I had to spend 2 weeks in. I'd been there before during the winter & remembered how dry the room air was and when I spotted this I decided to try it. It worked marvelously - I slept much more comfortably. Back at work, I decided to use it in my office daily and it fit the bill. After a few winters of daily use it finally wore out. It certainly was cost effective, so I didn't hesitate to get another one.

Absolutley Love and Recommend as your Travel Humidifier
I love this! I bought this for an upcoming trip, did a quick test and it was fine. Then we got a really bad dry heat spell and I have been running it constantly at my desk. It's tiny but efficient! I've had it running full blast and the water bottle lasts a few hours in it and my room is a bit more humid. Definitely exceeded expectations.

Flawed vapor control--soaking wet pillow
I really liked my first one, which lasted about 14 months before it started to make a constant "horsefly" buzz. I ordered another one because these are so much easier to clean than the ones with tanks. The second one lasted exactly one year till the same thing happened. The third one lasted seven months, but this time the humidity control stopped working so that, on the highest setting, it only produced a trickle of vapor. Regarding the fourth one, I had to return it because, within about one hour on the lowest setting, my pillow was soaking wet. Amazon immediately sent me the fifth one (no charge)--which had the exact same problem. There's no way to control the amount of vapor--and let me point out that I always use only distilled water. So I'll have to return it again, and will now have to find a different model, one that won’t soak my pillow.Ease of Cleaning: I'd give it five stars for ease of cleaning, which is the main reason I've kept repurchasing this humidifier. Ease of Use: Just two stars. That could be improved if they'd add a couple more balancing "feet"--the thingies that flip out underneath to help balance it. There are only two, and they're too short to be much help. With each unit, I've had to use strips of wide packing tape (transparent) to secure it to the table so it won't fall over (that is if you want to use a large enough bottle to last all night). This makes it a real pain to clean the base, having to remove all that tape first and then redo it afterwards. (With even a small bottle of water, it could easily be knocked over if you didn’t tape it down.) Noise Level: At first that was excellent, until it started sounding like a horsefly, which will drive you crazy if you're trying to sleep. Since that seems inevitable to happen within about a year's use, I can only give it two stars for noise. But the final straw is overproduction of vapor on the lowest setting.

Perfect for travel
I was working out at camps and this little thing saved me. If you have it the minimal setting one bottle of water will last the night. The light on it is a little annoying and bright but put tape over it and it will be fine. Point outwards and not over anything unless you want things to get wet.

Huge help for singers on tour in the winter, battling "too dry" enviroments.
I purchased this item to deal with a dry rental apartment in Montreal Quebec during the frigidly cold January 2015. It was fabulous! I slept with it on my bedside table, because the apartment was so dry at night. As a professional singer on tour, I opted to turn off the thermostat at night in lieu of turning on the humidifier (with a full 500 ml bottle of water) to the medium setting on the bedside table (with some paper towel underneath it so that condensation would not harm the furniture). The cool mist would last all night and provide me with enough moisture to maintain my voice. In the end, the entire cast of the show got one. On my day off, I would put it on the desk as I did computer work.I would recommend this item for singers on tour in the winter battling with "too dry" environments.

Disappointing
Very disappointed. It worked for a couple of weeks, then started leaking, steam stopped flowing and then stopped working altogether! Used only distilled water, cleaned regularly, but it didn't last! Returning it!

Good and bad...
The product is small so it doesn't take up a lot of space (which is good) and it's working for me as i see some reviewers mentioned theirs didn't work. Shipping was very fast, basically got it the next day after I ordered, even though I picked 2 day shipping. The price is good considering that this one has the UV light that they say kills germs. The bad things for me are the night light which i wish there was a switch to turn it off as i prefer to sleep in total darkness... and although it says it's quiet, but to me, it's not as quiet as i expected... there is this motor noise going on... so maybe it's not so good to leave it on while sleeping unfortunately... but maybe some people's tolerance for noise when sleeping is ok for them.

this little machine is amazing
i love this humidifer, i had sinus surgery and needed moist air around me at all times for a month. i can easily carry this small machine from room to room. it is very quiet and puts out a nice strong mist. My only complaint is that it has a light that causes it to glow, it will light up the whole room at night. I colored it with a black marker to block out the glowing light.would be nice if the light could be turned off.
