Replacement for Apple-TV-Remote, Remote Control for Apple 4K/HD (NO Siri & Voice)

I have updated my review from 3 to 5 stars. Like some other reviews I found the buttons were a bit intermittent, sometimes had to press twice or press hard to get them to work. However after a couple of uses it is now working very well. I'm not sure why it was a bit intermittent to start with, but now it is working well and much easier to use than the original Apple remote. Connected to my Apple TV HD without any pairing, the same with my Samsung TV.

Fantastic remote, arrived a few hours ago and it’s been a game changer. Bought as a replacement for Apple TV 3rd gen. Remote broke and we’ve been using the remote on our iPhones. I like that it has a lot more buttons than our original remote and includes volume control (our tv is LG so it works with it as described), so we don’t need 2 remotes anymore. It takes 2 AAA batteries, which are easier to find, change and cheaper than the original remote. It’s also bigger so not as easy to lose, but not massive! slightly longer than a phone. So happy with this buy.

Love it, it just worked out of the box for my Apple 4k tv, I put batteries in and it worked no other setup and it automatically did volume and power for lg TV. The buttons feel nice and it has no mic big selling point if u ask me as the batteries in the original lasted a few days

A lot cheaper than Apple’s version, with all Of the functionality I need. One important thing to consider is battery choice. I had the same issue as many others, with having to press the button many times to get the ATV to respond. The issue was mine. I used rechargeable AA batteries that are 1.2v, this remote needs the full 1.5v from non- rechargeable batteries. I used Duracell with no discernible issues.

Was confused but still thought of giving a shot and bingo! The remote got connected to my apple tv in a second or 2. Works absolutely fine. My son was so impressed as he tried it first. The buttons work fine without having to press harder too except the volume and mute buttons. Still does the job as I want. I can use the tv remote to control the volume so am happy. Thank you to the seller.

This is an awful, awful remote control. Aside from the buttons being in completely unintuitive places, and not having a microphone, making voice search impossible, the biggest crime is how slow and unresponsive it is. It’s infuriating to use because it only registers about half of your button presses. I refuse to believe anyone who rates this above two stars has used the device for more than ten seconds. Just completely terrible in every way.

Nutze es für ein Apple TV (4K 1. Gen.) und es klappt hervorragend; außer Sprachbefehle, was ich ohnehin selten genutzt habe. Im Unterschied zur mitgelieferten Apple Fernbedienung weiß man hier wenigstens wo oben und unten ist.

Teníamos el mando original pero se perdió y necesitábamos un reemplazo funcional que no dependiera de la función de voz. Este mando cumple perfectamente con su cometido: todos los botones esenciales están presentes, desde el control de menú y navegación hasta los botones de reproducción, pausa y volumen, y responden con rapidez y precisión al presionarlos. La conexión con el Apple TV fue inmediata; simplemente encendimos el dispositivo y el mando se sincronizó sin esfuerzo, sin necesidad de configuraciones complicadas. Lo que más me gusta de este mando es su diseño ergonómico y ligero. Está fabricado en un material resistente que se siente sólido en la mano sin ser pesado. Las teclas tienen un buen recorrido y un clic satisfactorio, lo que mejora la experiencia de uso. Además, la distribución de los botones es intuitiva y similar al mando original, por lo que no hay curva de aprendizaje. Aunque no cuenta con micrófono para Siri, esto no ha sido un problema para nosotros ya que preferimos usar el móvil para comandos de voz cuando es necesario. De hecho, la construcción es robusta y los acabados son correctos. El mando llegó bien embalado y en la fecha prevista, lo que denota un buen servicio por parte del vendedor. Viene con un manual de instrucciones sencillo, aunque en la práctica no fue necesario consultarlo porque su uso es muy intuitivo.
