You should stick to the following: Mechanical locks - S&G 6730. Electronic locks - SecuRam or Lagard only. Most other manufacturers have lapses in quality and durability. **Q: will this lock fit a cannon safe?** A: If it has a green leaf touchpad lock then yes **Q: What is the function of the key lock?** A: The key look in the dial locks it in place so it can be turned. It is a another measure of security to prevent the bad guys from getting in the safe. **Q: will this work on a cannon ca23 gun safe with a securam digital lock pad?** A: This should be a easy transition. Cannon offers the manual S&G option, all the mounting holes and plate are the same. There are several UT videos to make this transition easy. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fast shipping *by S***N on May 6, 2026* Exactly what the description says , and fast shipping. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sergeant Greenleaf combination dial lock is the top-of-the-line *by L***D on December 18, 2021* I converted my touchpad electric lock oh my gun safe to a Sergeant Greenleaf combination Lock I had to do a little adjustment to get it to fit but Now it works great I don’t have to worry about the touchpad going bad oh my safe and I can’t get in it great product ### ⭐ Useless without the code *by C***N on July 14, 2023* Received the new lock timely, had it installed then discovered they didn’t include the combination.
