great little pocket radio.
very easy to use, very lightweight, and really long battery life! charge lasts for 5-6 days at 2-3 hours per use. I didn't like the headphones that came with it and replaced them with better headphones. sound is great and quite loud at max volume. only a couple places where reception gets hinkey but that's not the little radio's fault. after the first use, the buttons are easy to use without looking at the radio and, while the user guide could be more descriptive, the station programming process takes no time at all. recharging is an easy process (radio to cable to USB). I leave it plugged in overnight every sunday so I don't know how long it actually takes to charge (or if different days work better)!! I am happy with this radio-let!

Tiny and powerful
I bought this radio to listen to baseball games. I like to listen to the play by play while at the stadium and this radio is perfect, as it’s tiny. I sometimes fit it in my baseball cap when I’m sitting, that’s how small it is. It is the size of a credit card and about half a finger thick. The reception works great and I haven’t had a problem, though I mostly listen to AM. The battery life will last me 2 or 3 full baseball games, which for it’s size is pretty amazing. It is charged via mini USB, so no batteries needed.

Like the radio but the battery doesn't recharge! Update: New one works!!
I really like the way the radio works in general. Very easy to program, etc. Sound quality is decent for a small radio. My only issue is with the battery. It never actually recharged fully and, therefore, doesn't last long. Started out holding a charge for a few days (I only used it about an hour a day during my gym time) but now only stays on for about 15 minutes. Such a shame as I really like how it fits in my pocket. Ear buds that came with it are poor quality so I use my own. I may try to return it for a new one, in case it's just the battery. Update: Returned the original and was sent replacement immediately! Battery charged just fine on the new one and works like a charm! May buy another one for travel!!

The customer service is amazing!
I wanted a small radio when I was working in a remote location by myself. I looked at all the available units and finally decided on this one. It is very small - less than the size of a credit card, and about 1/4" thick. I used it with earphones, and plugged it into a rechargeable speaker when I was inside. Both worked well. It did acceptably well in reception, picking up a few stronger stations on AM and on FM. It was only able to use a 9 Khz station gap on AM (the US uses 10 Khz), which was frustrating. However, I wrote the seller, and got a personalized response very quickly with detailed instructions on how to change it to 10 Khz steps. (In fairness, the instructions were also explained in the brief user's "manual" that came with the radio.) The reply was prompt, thorough and considerate. I was deeply impressed. Pro: * Small size -- easily fits in a pocket. * Decent battery life. * Locking function to prevent accidental button presses in your pocket. * Large number of memory presets. * Scanning function. * Decent display -- informative of all functions. * It can be used with an external speaker (but, requires a cable -- no bluetooth). Con: * Scan function clears all presets on that mode (AM or FM), and fills them with found stations (or, strong static). This means you lose any presets you have manually entered. * You cannot directly enter a memory. You must scroll through them to get the one you want. * You can tune frequencies manually, but you cannot directly enter a frequency. The Pro's outweigh the Con's for me. I do not normally give a 5-star review. What tipped it for me was two things: 1) It met my needs quite well. 2) The customer service was far more than I had expected. Especially because of their service, I would buy this, or another product, from them again!

Good unit in small package
I like the size of the radio and the quality of the sound for such a small unit. I would prefer an analog type volume dial that would work when the controls are locked since I find it necessary to frequently vary the volume while walking to hear properly. The reception of AM is not quite as good as on my Sony Walkman pocket radio, so that could be better. I like the many features, but find them a little cryptic to remember easily.

Good radio, great sound, excellent battery life
I have edited my review, raising it from 2 stars to 5. The first radio I received had good ear buds with a very nice sound, however, I had to recharge the radio after each 2 hour gym visit. The company contacted me offering to send me a replacement due to poor battery life. I charged my new radio, and it's been playing for 9 hours straight and still has at least 1/2 battery life left. This is quite amazing. I am very happy with the radio, and appreciate Jonathan for reaching out to remedy my problem. The only negative comment I have is that programming the stations is difficult. The directions are not helpful. After playing around, I figured it out. I would recommend this radio in a heart beat!

Works at first but battery declines within a couple months soon dies completely. Don't recommend.
I was looking for a simple radio and when I first got this I was decently happy with it. Amongst my friends, I'm the one who doesn't hear the difference between the quality speakers versus mediocre ones but even then, I noticed the sound quality was lacking on this. I was ok with it. The earphones it came with broke within the first 3 uses, I was still ok with it as it was expected based on the other reviews. The battery greatly declined within the first couple months and it wouldn't charge fully. I guess that was to be expected and I was still somewhat ok with it. But soon battery completely dies and it will not hold any charge. Worthless within 6 months. What happened to the old simple radios that would last forever?

The Jesson is a great little pocket radio. Could be improved with better quality earphones and a longer battery charge. Having said that, good value product.
