ElecGear 2x TMR Joystick and Desoldering Heating Plate Replacement for Xbox Series S/X Controller, TMR Hall Control Stick and Soldering Wick Repair Tools – (TMR-X1914)

I LOVE IT!! I got it because I could not do normal soldering and the heating plate really helped me a LOT it makes the work easier now, I used to take 20-30 mins to take a single joystick and now it’s out in 5 mins!! I love the joysticks too they are great and they are last longing and I hope to buy more for my other controllers 🔥

I am not reviewing the sticks which I'm sure are good I bought Xbox ones just to get the heating pad De UniA as it was available next day and the PS5 one was not. Anyways the pad is great, it makes swapping the sticks on a controller way easier and I highly recommend it. Once I get around to swapping the sticks on an Xbox controller I will update on the sticks themselves

It really worked really well n fixed three of my controllers except one I messed on my end.

The desolder tool helps but it was not as easy as the video. The sticks work very well.

ORIGINAL THUMB STICKS DO NOT FIT CORRECTLY. The original black thumb stiks slip and move a little on these joystick shafts. Causing a lot of what feel like clicking and popping when moving the joysticks. Fortunately for me I have a multi-pack replacement set from a previous restoration of an older One controller. I was able to solve the issue on my end but you may need to get creative or purchase some new thumb sticks if yours click and pop after replacing your joysticks with these TMR versions.

Great replacement sticks and it's really nice that it comes with the heating plate to make it easier to desolder the old sticks.

Easy to use works well heat travels fast fit right on and the upgrade is worth the money

Purchased X1914 model for Series S controller. Successfully replaced original joysticks with new ones and validated connection with multimeter but joysticks are stuck drifting to bottom right and cannot be moved. Not sure if I got a bad batch but the #s on the back of sensors are mismatched as well.

Worked for me. It’s not job for anyone and requires some skill and right tools. Not difficult but you need to be confident with the soldering iron. If done incorrectly, you will burn the pcb “buckets” and your controller with be rendered useless. That said really nice fell on my Xbox series x controller.

箱コン用を購入、ドリフトが凄いことになったのと最近本体お高くてね⋯ 他社製品と比べて取り外しに使えるツールが付いていたのでこちらに 温めながらピンセットカリカリでだいぶ楽に外せたけど、ちょっと追い半田盛りすぎて穴が埋まってしまい除去して貫通させるのに苦労しました 現在再調整も済みドリフトも解消され基本動作や押し込みも機能しています これからの耐久では自分の工作過程で問題が発生していないことを祈るばかりです

Il prodotto arriva con la pretesa di essere un kit completo in grado di portare a termine il lavoro. Beh, non è cosi. Per ordine: - La SALDATURA: La basetta in rame è precisa, sarebbe ottima se fornita di attacco per la punta del saldatore (magari con opzioni a scelta per tipo di saldatore). Invece rende il alvoro impossibile perchè bisogna tenere dello stagno sciolto sopra con la punta del saldatore a contatto. Questo significa che non potete inclinare la board. Inoltre le clip per sostegno della board si sciolgono in secondi eppena arriva calore, cosa inevitabile in quanto bisogna esercitare pressione e far sciogliere i 14punti serve del tempo. Molto meglio se avete un tipico pcb holder orientabile, una punta a saldatore ed una mano libera a pinzare delicatamente lo stick da estrarre. Questo metodo è buono anche per scaldare i fori senza pulirli ed infilarci il nuovo stick, evitando di erodere i punti di contatto con la treccia wire wick per riaprire i fori chiusi. Stick TMR: Riguardo i modli TMR non li ho provati, ne ho provato due classici Hall Effect Ginfull che si sono rivelati ingestibili dal firmware, con calibratura persa ogni 2minuti (bug dell'ultimo firmware) e levette impazzite per via di valori non letti correttamente. Aggiornerò la recensione quando proverò i due moduli TMR forniti, che dovrebbero essere migliori dei classici Hall Effect. Prodotto che non aiuta realmente nel fai da te. Compratevi i TMR a parte, punta con saldatore, pcb holder etc.

Acheté pour un remplacement sur une manette xbox 1914 après plusieurs remplacements infructueux de joystick à potentiomètres j'ai décidé de passer sur ce modèle pour deux raisons (le kit est super notamment avec la semelle en cuivre qui permet de dessouder sans effort (nécessite un peu de matériel, de la patience mais globalement très accessible). La qualité des matériaux est vraiment bonne et après calibration on constate un rendu fin et précis. Donc pour conclure, c'est un peu plus cher que les potentiomètres classiques mais le jeu en vaut vraiment la chandelle et surtout vous vous retrouverez avec une manette qui ne peut plus drifter car pas de contact.
