YuasaYTZ10S Battery

I purchased this same battery over 8 years ago for my Yamaha R6 - 2011. Needless to say, this is an excellent battery to purchase. The key is to FULLY charge the battery before installing. Voltage should be somewhere in the range of 13.1 to 13.3 volts before installing. IF the battery ever falls below 12.7 volts, it should be charged again. In all cases. use a 12v, 1 amp or 12v, 1.25 amp charger. NEVER fast charge a battery of any kind. Heat build-up in a battery is 'bad'.I expect this battery to last over 8 years as well. If you purchase a quality battery and take care of it, this is a better deal.

This is both about the distributor and the product. I've bought two Yuasa batteries from Avid Cycles and both of them were charged to the optimal voltage and are holding their charges well. The first battery is now 4 months old and still holds at 12.8V. The second was just installed a day ago from the writing of this review (so the jury is still out on long term) but so far it looks good. Yuasa is a reputable brand and I have had good luck in the past with them overall. I would buy Yuasa and specifically look to buy them from Avid Cycles in the future.

The first lasted just short of SEVEN years. Expect this one will be just as good. Perfect fit and OEM replacement for my Yamaha MT-09. 👍🏻

I bought this battery as it is supposed to be the OEM brand for my motorcycle. At first everything seemed to be fine at instalation and it cranked the bike right away, however about 48 hours later when I went to use the motorcycle it would not crank at all and the battery was completely dead. I thought I might have left something on the bike that might have drain the battery but it was not the case and the battery would just not charge anymore not even one bit. Even my old battery would keep a bit of a charge but this one doesnt. I thought I might have just gotten a defective battery so I tried to replace on Amazon but found out that the item is not returnable so I was refered to the manufacturer. Then I called Yuasa the manufacturer and they say that they do not sell on amazon or directly to consumer so they would not provide any support. So I got stuck with a dead battery, luckily Amazon came trough and refunded me so I could buy a different brand.

I just bought my second one. This is for a 2014 BMW S1000RR. OEM lasted three years. First one lasted almost exactly three years. Am not sure if that means it is a good value for the money or not. You decide. For me it was, so i bought the same one when it died.The battery has nice U-shaped contacts so the nut slides into a groove that keeps it in place as you screw down the leads. Rather practical.

Battery arrived in good condition and appears genuine. Yuasa customer service was able to confirm the build date of the battery, which was produced about 9 months ago.
