Harper'S Bazaar Fabulous at Every Age

I have a few books on style and I like the Harper's ones the best as they have nice photos in them of how stylish people put outfits together. After all clothes are a visual thing. I subscribe to the magazine as well. I couldn't afford anything in it but I like the magazine and the books for inspiration. They give ideas on different ways of putting clothes together - as well as prints and colours and what goes and what doesn't. But you need to try stuff on and see what works for you but be a bit experimental as well. There are certainly 'classic looks' that always work well but every gal knows she gets bored with her clothes/look and wants to try something new and I find these books help. I take clips out of magazines as well when I see something I like.

I purchased this book as a result of reviews and the reviewers were right. It’s a great book to keep dipping into and out of. There is something for every woman’s age and I have it on my coffee table to look through when ever I have five minutes. I’m still enjoying the hints.

Lots of pictures, mainly wearable fashion and style which would last for more than one season, especially if you favour a version of the classic style. Only gave four stars as not quite as good as the other harpers bizaar book. Worth buying though.

I personall like this book.

I love Harper's Bazaar and i never miss an issue. However, this book is short even of an ordinary magazine article. I couldn't believe my eyes when I read through it. It's as if photos and words were randomly put together by interns and trainees. Even then it would have been better. I am not returning it because of the high shipping costs. I shall be giving it away to someone without a fashion sense at all. Otherwise, get the magazine instead.

I love the "Fabulous At Any" cottage industry. I give them as gifts to my fashionable friends and sprinkle the rest on tables around my home.

This was a very well done book. I liked the way it was done, ie: a chapter on skirts, a chapter on pants etc. The pictures were very good. I felt good after reading it, that a woman could look amazing at any age with just a bit of effort and a book like this one.

The only draw back about this book is that it doesn't address the less than perfect figure. But if you love fashion and style, it is engaging. But it is not a book to help you find your style, just explore what is currently in fashion.
