It would get kind of hot. It kept me warm in the snow so I don't think it would be great in the summer heat. **Q: Does this mask use velcro as a closure? Also, it says that it is oversized, but only 18.7 inches long?** A: Yes it uses velcro. I found it to be a but tight, even for being oversized **Q: Hey this wouldnt happen to glow in the dark would it?** A: no it does not, its just plain white. **Q: How thick is the neoprene material?** A: I cannot give you an exact on the thickness, but it is of good quality. The mask I purchased about one year ago is for my motorcycle. I love it and it does the job (I.e. keeping the dust, smoke, etc.) out. My hubby have a few of them (half and full face). I would recommend it. The Velcro back makes sure it stays on and stays on comfortably.
