The Roborock Q10 X5+ is a fantastic robot vacuum and mop that has exceeded my expectations. The app integration is excellent — it lets you set up the robot exactly how you want, from cleaning schedules to mapping specific rooms. The auto‑empty dirt tray is awesome and makes maintenance so much easier. It is a little noisier than other robots I’ve owned, but the cleaning performance is substantially better, which is a trade‑off I’m happy to make. The auto‑empty feature is definitely loud, but it’s quick and not a deal breaker. The mop function is solid — not perfect, but more than sufficient for everyday upkeep. My favorite feature is the tangle‑free roller; I no longer spend ten minutes each week pulling hair out of the brush. It’s a little pricey, but the features and performance make it absolutely worth the investment. Overall, this is a great machine with smart design and powerful cleaning. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable robot vacuum with thoughtful features!

We have purchased originally Q7 and loved it but it was bumping a little bit around some places and running over some items. It is a great sale now on this brand and we decided to return the Q7 and upgrade to Q10 which does much better job avoiding the objects and have some other extra features. The machine is about one inch larger in diameter but still fits everywhere where the Q7 could get into. I think it's a great deal for such a high quality design and reliability plus the maps are very customizable so you can tweak it to perfection. We could not believe how much dust it pulls out of the carpets even after multiple times. We never realized that there is so much dust growing and collecting. The mopping function with vibrator is great and carpet sensors do a great job.

Best purchase ever ... ok it's tied with my heated mattress pad. After my cleaning ladies rescheduled for the last time - my texts to them were all about rescheduling - it is such a relief to just move a few things out of the way and let Wanda do her thing. And even more of a pleasure to leave the house & take care of other things. I've had this baby more than six months. I use it every other week or more frequently as needed. The first two times I ran Wanda, I followed her all over the house, making small adjustments or just admiring. I moved some furniture and picked up the shag bath mats which are too thick. And then I noticed that the air felt fresh & clean. A surprise. The app with a map of my house was definitely over the top, but I've gotten used to it. I have to admit, I haven't yet tried the water tank. But reliable no-hassle vacuuming is terrific, and Wanda delivers. Go for it, you won't be sorry.

I’ve had several Roombas and their quality and efficiency has just gone to crap. I’m pretty impressed with this Roborock. Bought this for our vacation condo which is about 1600 sq ft. Mapped quickly. Did a nice job vacuuming. It did move my bathroom rugs around but it was set to the highest suction. App is user friendly and set up was easy. Battery life could be better and it takes awhile to charge or I’d have given it 5 stars. I didn’t think I needed the mop but it does a pretty nice job, too so I will actually use that function, I think. Perfect for what I needed.

Less than 10 months after purchasing a Roborock Q7 it is dead, completely. It fails to power on, won’t connect to the app, and is for all intents and purposes a paperweight. This happened after a ‘firmware update’, and this in my experience has been one of, but not nearly the worst of the experience with Roborock. Firmware updates all seem to cause massive problems for the vacuum, from deleting maps, removing features, and now outright bricking the vacuum. Once the device failed I did what any customer would do and contacted their support. When I tell you that Roborock has the worst, capital W, Worst support I have ever utilized, I absolutely mean it. Roborock support is only after hours, meaning if you are located inside the United States, you will only be able to meaningfully communicate with support at night. They have a 24x7 helpline where Tier 1 technicians provide basic, extremely limited support. In my case it was “Press the power button, does it turn on?” After that I was told the Tier 2 support would need to be involved. Tier 2 support is only via email, and expect at a minimum 24 hours between messages. Roborock confirmed that they do not have interest in allocating the resources to allow customers to communicate with Tier 2 support. They do not see the value in it. So I waited patiently for a response. The device is after all only 10 months old, certainly they would just ship a new one and refurbish mine that was bricked by a bad firmware update. Surprisingly that was not the case. The response I got back was that the device was Out of Warranty. 10 month old, a $500 vacuum, and it’s “Out Of Warranty”. I was told that if I chose to I could ship the device back to them at my own expense, and that sometime later it would be returned to me and that they would ‘attempt to repair it.’ The thing that interested me here is the length of the warranty. I was confused and messaged back, assuming they had made a mistake. Obviously the device was under warranty, it was just 10 months old. I confirmed the serial number and again, waited 24 hours for a reply. It almost began to feel like a NASA mission, where I was waiting for some communication delay between me and a set of engineers on another planet. I am an engineer, and I have some experience with warranties, so I went to look how long the warranty was on Roborock Products. The warranty, it turns out, is 30 days. Roborock only guarantees that their products will continue to function for 30 days after purchase. Past that date repairs are only carried out at the end users cost. Generally a warranty time is set where you calculate the MTTF, mean time to failure of the components, and you design the warranty to be long enough to cover basic failures, but not so long as to include the failures of consumable products. Given this knowledge it’s safe to assume that Roborock does not expect their devices to last more than 30 days. The design is intentional, and these aren’t ’out of band failures’. Roborock is, and I confirmed with support, aware of the fact that their devices all will fail within a year, and the expectation is that the customer can, if they choose, continue to pay for subsequent repairs, regardless of whether or not this failure was caused by misuse, failure of components, or by receiving a bad firmware update. All of that in mind, the actual functionality of the vacuum is also extremely limited. We ran our vacuum on a nightly schedule for 10 months and rarely was there a night where it actually completed the schedule without getting lost, stuck, or failing in some way. Low lying furniture seemed to provide an especially difficult challenge, as the vacuum would constantly climb onto the furniture legs and then become stuck. The solution ended up being placing ‘no go’ zones around everywhere that the device would get stuck, and after about 7 months of tweaking the map, we were able to get it to successfully complete a single run. Of course roughly 40% of the map had been blocked off and in subsequent runs we found that the Roborock frequently got ‘lost’ and wandered into No Go zones, only to then freeze and require us to move it manually out of the zone. It was a little like having a toddler vacuum for you, some part of the floor got cleaned, but overall it was more work to use the Roborock than it was to just vacuum it ourselves. Even when it did vacuum we found that it did at best a mediocre job, often leaving debris behind, and that the ‘mopping’ function left our floors streaky and resulted in a wet and smelly mop being dragged over our carpets when it transitioned between floor types. There is no function to tell it to vacuum carpets first and then mop floors, in fact it randomly moves between floors and carpets in a way that seems designed to ensure as much of the carpet as possible gets wet. The Lidar function is all but useless and in watching the vacuum operate I watched it constantly bounce and knock into things, seeming to have no idea where it actually was at any given time. It functioned roughly as well as a cheap robot vacuum without any lidar or advanced mapping features. Finally, and this I only learned recently. Roborock is entirely located in China. I include this because for a lot of people there are serious concerns with services and hardware that communicate back with Chinese servers, largely because the Chinese government openly identifies that it has the ability to take possession of any data on any server that belongs to any Chinese company, which is why you have seen services like TikTok be blocked and why the Government has banned Huawei. Understand that if you have a Roborock vacuum that any data it collects becomes property of the Chinese government, including mapping data and anything the sensors detect in your home. This may or not be a big deal to people, but I feel it’s worth mentioning since Roborock does a good job of obfuscating this point. Overall I would say that the 500$ Roborock performs no better than a 99$ Eufy vacuum I have upstairs. The LiDAR doesn’t seem to function at all, it seems to have no ability to avoid furniture or to keep itself from becoming trapped or lost. Even when it does vacuum it does a mediocre job and generally leaves the carpets dirty and wet, if you use the mopping function. I would highly suggest you avoid both this model and products from Roborock. It’s clear from my interactions with support that Roborock has no faith in their products, they consider them to be disposable and provide only at cost repairs after purchase.

My poor little 3000Pa robo vacuum that I ran nightly for 4 years was on its last legs, so I decided to take advantage of the Prime Day sales and buy this one before mine broke completely. I’ll preface everything to say that I’ve only had this thing for two days, but will adjust my rating later if anything comes up. I have two extremely hairy dogs. Weekly vacuuming is too little, and daily vacuuming is too taxing with a full time job. Enter nightly 2am scheduled cleanings. A plus to be able to do this from the app and was an absolute must when making my decision. Another feature I love is being able to separate my open-planned first floor into different sections or “rooms.” This makes it easy to go over certain areas or pick tile vs carpet for mopping or vacuuming. I can even select the order of cleaning, which is nice because it hates one specific area where I have a small “kid table” and can get stuck. I selected the area on the map to ignore. I haven’t mopped yet because it honestly seems like a pain with my room layout and the fact that you must wash and dry the pad yourself in addition to pre-wetting the pad. Another “flaw” is that it just shoots dirty water into the same dust bag. Gross. I’m not ready to deal with that! I didn’t get it for the mop function anyway, so not a huge deal for me. Another plus is that this self-empties. My last one didn’t, and it was part of my daily routine to empty the dust catcher manually. If I forgot, everything would clog because of the dog hair. Not the mention the roller brush would constantly get tangled. This Roborock vacuum, however, not only does a fantastic job of emptying into the large dust bin, but the collection pan is nearly empty afterwards. Hair isn’t getting rolled around on the brushes either, which probably contributed to my last vacuum having a shorter life. I really like the suction on the Roborock. It’s much more powerful than my other one and even leaves vacuum lines (which are pretty sharp and the pattern is consistent). Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase and love how much the vacuum picks up. Hopefully it continues to impress!

It’s a good product and far more advanced than the robot that I had previously. I retired my old roomba several years ago because it was an exercise in frustration and very little actual cleaning was happening. It was a high end model at the time it was purchased but had many shortcomings. Fast forward several years and I again considered a robot vacuum hoping that the technology had improved. I settled on this model because it both mopped and vacuumed, had lidar sensing technology, was reported to be reasonably quiet, auto emptied and was mid price. I was not disappointed!!! After unpacking, I found a QR code to assist with WiFi connection and app download. I let it charge over night and the next morning it was ready for trial. After setting the app to vacuum only, as it’s recommended that you vacuum three times before mopping, I let it go. It proceeded to run along the baseboards mapping the entire first floor. It then proceeded to work its way around, vacuuming the entire first floor, which is a little over 1,000 sq ft and is open floor plan with a separate powder room and separate laundry. Interestingly, it mapped the kitchen, which is separated from the main living area by a large island, as a separate room as it did the laundry but it didn’t identify the powder room as a separate room. I did figure out on the app that these items are fully customizable and you can combine and separate spaces easily. The only problem with the first run is that there were some cords under an end table that it couldn’t navigate around well and when it emptied, it left a big glob of debris in the space where the vacuum connects to the base. I’ve not had that problem in subsequent runs so I think it was just that the floor was really really dirty and pet hair and debris had compacted to the point where it was stuck in the suction tube. On the second run I rearranged the cords under the end table to give better access to that area and also pulled the stools away from the island and pulled the dining table chairs away from one side of the table to give access to those areas. That worked great and I think going forward I’ll pull chairs and stools to a different position every other or every third time I run it to give it more room to get into those areas. After all, I can’t effectively clean under my dining table by hand without pulling chairs out so I don’t fault the bot. By the third time it had gotten to know me, I had gotten to knowing it and it was running pretty smoothly. The next time it ran it in the “light” mode. It hit all of the traffic areas well but didn’t focus on the edges of the room or working itself around chair legs as much. This would probably be enough for me to use about every other time I run it. I only did mopping once. It seems to use very little water but it did leave a light even damp coat of water/cleaner as it went along so I knew it was actually doing something and I appreciate that it’s not overly wet on my wood floors. There was one dirty spot in front of an outside door that it didn’t clean effectively but the rest of the floor was nicely clean. Positives, 1) navigation was very impressive! I never had to rescue it. It handled transition from hardwood to area rugs well. There are times when it seems to be struggling but it’s really just taking its time to figure things out. If it misses a spot it will likely come back to it from a different angle. 2) It has plenty of battery life. As I said the first floor is about 1,000 sq feet and it finishes with about 40% of the battery left. 3) It’s very customizable. You can set cleaning levels, just vacuum, just mop, carpet only, certain rooms only, schedule times and other features. 4) it’s fairly quiet. You could hold a conversation or listen to the TV without much difficulty. 5) it doesn’t bounce off of things. My old robot would bounce off baseboards and furniture like a ping pong ball! This unit seems to see things before it hits them. 6) it moves in straight lines. My old robot moved in a random pattern, making carpet look a mess! This one leaves nice straight vacuum marks. 7) my floors are very clean. It’s really not much effort to run it daily. I do pick a few things up from the floor like the cat’s toy basket, shoes, etc but it’s worth it for clean, dust and pet hair free floors. The thing I don’t like about it is that the instructions are almost nonexistent! There are so many great features that I had to find on my own by hunting through the app, google, Reddit and YouTube. Even the website was no help with questions like where does the water go for the mopping function? All in all, I think I’m going to love it and I think it’s worth the price if you are like me and love a clean house but don’t love house cleaning. I’ve already ordered one for my second floor. One last word of advice. Don’t hover over it. It knows its job and how to do it. For me, it caused some unnecessary anxiety watching it. It can figure things out, you just have to let it take its time and follow its process to do so. Amending review to include that I ordered a second unit for my second floor, which is mainly carpet. Mapping worked great till it tried to dock itself. The poor little guy tried and tried but couldn’t do it. After several cleanings and attempts I turned to Reddit and apparently somewhere it says that the dock should be placed on a hard surface. For some reason it has issues docking on carpet. I moved it to a lightly used bathroom and it worked perfectly so that is something to consider. Note that some Reddit users said that theirs worked fine docking on carpet. It may have to do with the model. Even if I had to manually remove it to the dock after it ran, it would still be worth it.

Bought this practically on a whim. The price was very attractive. We had a robó vac when they first came out a 2 or 3 decades ago and were underwhelmed. THIS one though does an outstanding job vacuuming. We’ve not tried the mop feature yet, but we run it every day. It does a fabulous job and maintenance is simple and easy. Recommend!
