Q: Do you have to use a lot of muscle to stuff casings with this machine?

This product is very powerful as a meat grinder but after you have your meat ready to stuff your casings it takes a lot of work, better to buy a stuffer to save time.

Q: What detergent is safe to use?

I use Dawn dish detergent. Make sure all pieces are completely DRY before save it. It is very important that pieces or dry, any wetness will cause pieces to rust. I don't think detergent matters.

Q: Is this dish washer safe? If not why.

No parts for any grinder are dish washer safe. They will corrode. It doesn't take much effort to scrub something clean
