Sharpest Blade on the Market = Safer and More Comfortable Shaves!
Blade Testing Safety Razor: Parker Variant OC Brush: Parker Arctic Storm (Synthetic) Shaving Cream: Proraso (White) Having started my Safety Razor and DE Blade journey recently, I started with a fan favorite Blade to learn on which was Astra Superior Platinum (Green) Blades. Though they are really good for the price and offer great shaves, I found myself wanting something more sharp and comfortable once I felt like I mastered the Astras. With my skin type, I felt like Astra would leave ever so suttle dark stubble that would require more than 2+ Passes to get rid of epsecially on top of my lip under my nose. I prefer finishing my entire shave in 2 Passes for time efficientcy (While shaving With Grain at a setting 4/3.5 out of 5, on my Parker Variant OC, then finishing with Cross/Against Grain on Setting 3 or 2.5). The Astra just couldn't cut down enough consistently without either nicking me at least once every other day or requiring me to utilize more time than I would like on certain area. (Again, this could be definitely be my own personal human error and not stretching skin properly, etc.) But it still stands, Astra made me sit at the counter top just a litte bit longer than I would like to spend shaving. It's no rush of course in the Wet Shaving community, and you should take your time and enjoy the shaving process, it's an art afterall. But somedays, I don't want to be an artist and I just gotta go! Feather Blades was a night and day difference off the first shave. It felt like a lightsaber. At first I almost didn't know if it was even shaving (3 Day Growth) with how smooth and gentle the first pass felt. There was no snagging at all, but it was cutting. Going against the grain with it felt extremly safe and easy as well. I had zero knicks (which was unexpected as I thought I'd hurt myself moving up to a S Tier Class Blade for the first time). But sometimes things that are sharper, are indeed safer and more comfortable. But this truly depends on your skin type. I know my skin, and knew something sharper, would indeed give me the BBS Results I was looking for abd make my overall shave quicker and and more comfortable. I will definitely be paying that extra bit of premium for higher quality blades like Feather moving forward, with Persona GEM next on my radar.

Feathers win super bowl
These are the sharpest and the longest lasting blades made. I normally can get 2 shaves in from my usual astras which are also good but no comparison to the feathers as I just got 4 shaves out a blade which is a first for me. The price difference makes sense to use the feathers as I just ordered another 50 pack.

Best blades I’ve ever tried
These blades are amazingly sharp. I got my razor from Walmart and I honestly it worked very well, it was a $16 van de Hagen razor that came with a pack of its own blades, the tool was great the only problem was I’d get razor burn after shaving sometime. so I went with these blades because while looking through multiple brands of blades there was always a few reviews on each saying how good these blades were; and after using these the review were more than right the shave on these were so fine I didn’t even feel my beard being shaved it was just gone. not to mention with my previous blades I’d have to go over again to get all the micro stubble with these it got it all in one go.if anyone is second guessing getting these I say take the leap and be pleasantly surprised.

Very sharp and pairs well with a mild safety razor head to take the guess work out.
The Feather Razors are the best double edge razor I have used. I pair it with a very mild safety razor head for beginners: King C. Gillette. It is very easy to remove hair as I tend to get fairly clean passes even when I have an abundance of hair they just glide right through. Most of the negative reviews seem to be people cutting themselves on accident which with proper form or an easier head that isn't an issue, or being unable to cut which I quite frankly don't know how as these are fairly sharp razors. Potentially they're using an even milder safety razor head? If you have sensitive skin these razors are more sharp, so be mindful of potential skin irritation. I personally prefer a sharp razor as less passes for me results in overall clearer skin.

Feather Razor Blades
Feather are great blades. They are extremely sharp and provide a very close shave. They lasy from 8-12 shaves for most people.

Sharpest blade I've ever used.
So, I had a funny experience with these blades. I had tried a sample pack previously with some Gillette 7 O'Clock, Astra Stainless (The Blue ones), and some RK stainless steels. Out of all of them the Gillette worked the best, but the Astra was a close second. The RK blades sucked, as they constantly pulled hair instead of cutting. But I eventually ran out and had heard that feathers were the best options for shaving. And just like the excitable idiot I am I just went whole hog and bought the full pack. It arrived the next day and i got to try it out with some pre-prep, and the new proraso shaving soap i got alongside it. Get everything ready, go for the first stroke, and I am almost immediately pissed. I felt nothing, didnt hear the normal tell-tale scrape of a blade on hair/jaw, and thought it had just passed over the hairs and not cut anything. I was worried I had bought a full pack of 50 for nothing. Wasn't until I took the second stroke that I realized. Its not that it was so dull it skipped over the hair, it was so SHARP that it acted as if the hair wasn't even there in the first place. I have gotten the single closest shave of my life, with no cuts anywhere except my upper lip (Which is always a trouble area for me.) The razor just glided over my skin with no trouble at all, and cut perfectly. I know this review sounds over-the-top, but i was just that surprised at how good it ended up. When I swapped from cartridges to a safety razor it was a new level of shaving, and now that I'm using feathers, it feels like its only gotten even higher.

Excellent blades, but could use improvement in the way they are packaged.
These are some of the best blades I've ever used in my life. My only complaint is that the amount of wax used on the wrapping of each blade is too excessive and makes them slightly difficult to get out of the paper. You have to be very cautious not to cut yourself when unwrapping them.

Now my favorite
** UPDATE ** File this under "don't rush to judgement" To be fair, I was wrong about my first review (see below). I now have about 6-7 blades behind me and I am now a big fan. Yes, these felt overly harsh on my first blades, but give these some space before you pass judgement too. I now find these very sharp and super close. They become easier on the skin as you grow used to using them and I now am super happy with these. Yes - I will be going back for more!! Original below ...... I had high hopes for this razor blade. It should have everything going for it... made in Japan (they place a high priority of superior quality), Feather make a host of surgical blades and they get such high scores in the reviews. But I am not seeing these properties come through at all. I find the blades harsh to the skin, not all that sharp and they did not hold up too long. Sharpness - it's just not there at all. I have Henson handle and the RK blades beet the Feather, and I don't like the RK's that much either. I find Dorco to be sharper that Feather and Astra to be slightly sharper still. Comfort - Feather falls off here too. Very harsh shave. My skin feels stressed even hours after I have shaved. I could not wait to change this blade out. Back to Dorco today and I'll revisit Astra again next. Durability - Another fail here too. The Feather's start bad and don't ever get any better. I was happy to trade them out after day 3. I can easily get 4 or more shaves with either Dorco or Astra. Sorry Feather - I so wanted these to be a great blade.

The best blades
These are the best razor blades you can buy. Seriously don't even bother wasting your time and money on other brands. I bought one of those 10-different-brand variety packs to try out what's out there and Feather is the best. Feather is the sharpest and also lasts the longest. Comes as a pack of 5x 10 blades. I am using them with a Henson medium razor and I have thick black brown guy hair.
