This one works! But it is pricey. I’ve been using it for sometime ever since I had an infestation from my neighbor’s house. It is the same one the exterminator used and it worked. It’s not magic and it doesn’t work overnight; it takes several applications and then you have to continue maintenance. But it has been a blessing to solve the problem. I still put new ones out every couple months and I do have an exterminator also, but even with him alone, it took well over a year and didn’t fully solve the problem until I bought these. I do recommend I’m highly to anyone who’s got a problem. In my case by Neighbors refused to hire an exterminator, so I had to battle this by myself in a row home of many houses.

i love this product in conjunction w/ Advion. the combo really works. i'd give this 5 stars, but my 5th delivery--the entire box was incapable of snapping the capsule with my fingers like usual. a mallet or screwdriver didn't work. i still needed the powder to stay in the unit since i have a cat. i had to get a wrench and put my ENTIRE weight into the bump before it BARELY snapped, and it looked more like i broke the outer plastic housing rather than the capsule. i'm pretty sure my neighbor in the apartment below wasn't very happy with my activities that day. i'm not sure if the units were activated properly since i could barely snap them, but if my next (6th) delivery is also the same, i'm knocking another star off :( hopefully i just got a bad box :( actually.... if they continue to not snap if i order it again, i will have to return it... bc if it's that brittle, the powder probably isn't entering the dispersal disc properly...

Use these at my mom's house in FL where those nasty palmetto bugs like to invade. These actually really worked. If I ever do see a bug it's usually belly up and dead. No more heebie jeebies!

I have purchased these 33 times. The stuff seems to work great. No bugs. However, the last batch had two problems. I hope they still work fine, but... The ampule that you break to release the ingredient used to be breakable by hand. This time I needed a little hammer. Also the little adhesive squares now often fail and the thing falls down. About a third of them have failed. Still feels sticky but doesn't hold. I hope this is a one time drop in quality for whatever reason. If my next order has the same issues it will be my last.

I've lived in a couple of NYC buildings where god only knows what the neighbors are doing, but have had some times in years past when the cockroaches started to creep into my own apartment. I'd tried various remedies from diatomaceous earth to common name brand traps, gel etc. which only slowly or partially worked - along with a lot of time and EFFORT. After many years like this I stumbled across this Gentrol which I'd never heard of before and gave it a try. Within a week, the cockroach problem was eradicated. Once or twice I had to place more of the discs in the kitchen and bathroom after their effectiveness wore off and I started to see a cockroach or two return, but now it's been many years and I have not had to place anymore of the discs. I suspect that the source neighbors must have moved out or learned to remedy their slovenly habits. Gentrol is 1000 times easier and more effective than all other methods, when I think of how much time and effort the other brands and methods take, and how poorly they work compared to Gentrol, on top of the fact that Gentrol is so much lesser known, I just marvel that it hasn't completely taken over the market and put the others out of business.

This is my second time buying Gentrol Point Source. The first time I bought it, the product was incredibly effective — I barely saw any nymphs, and the physical effects on the adult roaches were very noticeable. However, this second batch has been a complete disappointment. When I went to crack open the discs as directed, the internal capsules felt much tougher and seemed completely dried up inside. It felt like I was sent old, expired stock. I initially hoped it was just my imagination, but the product is completely ineffective this time around. The nymphs are back, and there is no visible impact on the adult roaches. We were so excited to use this again based on our first experience, but this batch is defective. We would like a refund or a replacement.
