Should have more functionality for the price.
Limited utility. For the price, I expected more functionality built into this unit.It can only drive two blue tooth receivers, and you can only use one type of output at a time; even though the rear has several different types of output jacks. None of the rear output jacks work when you're using the blue tooth transmitter. Also, I found significant fidelity loss in the Analog-Digital converter within this unit when I compared to a hard wire connection. On the plus side, the transmission is clear several rooms away. .

Good multi-link transmitter, great range. Won't auto-reconnect to last devices
A friend asked me to set him up with some speakers on his deck, connected to the stereo in his home. His system had no Bluetooth so rather than figuring out a wired method I tried a couple of Bluetooth transmitters. This one did the job. I connected this to his 3.5mm aux jack and paired it to two OONTZ speakers. The quality was great and the range is awesome. A previous transmitter I had tried wouldn't broadcast beyond about 15'-20', but this unit exceeded 30'-40' which was more than enough for his living room to both ends of his deck. Also the unit was sitting in the back of a wood cabinet going through the wall of the house which I've had cut way down on BT signal. The ONLY gripe I have about this unit is it won't auto-reconnect to the speakers. I had to teach him how to press the link button twice each time he powers up the speakers to pair to them.

Works with 2 blue tooth headsets, but it is sometimes a bit difficult to use
This is exactly what we were looking for - works with 2 blue tooth headsets, but it is sometimes a bit difficult to use. It would be very nice to have a "connect 2nd device" button or switch instead of having to click the power button 2x, quite often it just turns off the power and you need to turn it on and try again. We were able to connect the Nolan box to our orange TV Digital Audio Output to listen to our PS3/AmazonFire/Hulu boxes. There is a screechy noise when we try to use with our DVR through the same cable, you can probably attach the Nolan box to the DVR using one of the other connection options, but we just use the built in Bluetooth transmitter on the DVR and turn off the Nolan box. If you leave the Nolan box powered on it will stay connected to the BT headsets even if you turn them off or connect them to the power source.

Did not work the way I thought it would... if you have a hd tv that only has optical output for sound and you put the output from the tv to input on the trx and the output from this trx unit to your Bose system... you get no sound... plus the bluetooth transmission is not working as the bose bluetooth headsets pick up a voice that says enter the code... did not work either.... so we are sol...

Got it as a gift to both parents, works like a charm
I bought this so that my hard of hearing mother can use any bluetooth earbuds or headphones to watch her soapies and reality TV in the evening without annoying my dear old father. He works at home and in the evenings as well.A while back I gifted them with a home theater system with floor speakers and center channel (martin and logan, nice I know) to go with their nice 55inch TV. This is a nice setup but it is loud when she cranks it up.So,I plugged this bad dude into the back of their Directv box (digital out) and paired it with some LG earbuds that hang on your neck and it was all good to go.The range is fantastic! She can go all around her house and not miss a beat! Most reality shows don't really need the video (big brother) so she can do chores silently. So I use it as a transmitter but it works well as a receiver, too. I have paired my android and apple phones with it, np. A receiver would be used as a way of streaming music from my phone to the receiver and playing on the speakers. However, I prefer the chromecast for that task to bluetooth since the range is much better on wifi. You cannot do both at the same time mind you! If you want to listen to bluetooth phones while streaming from a phone you will need two of these guys. However, tht is redundant, isn't it.I haven't tried pairing more than one set of phones to this yet so I can't attest to that feature. I have had it for a while and leave it plugged it and on and no troubles. Works like a charm. I would know because I would get a call everytime it failed to pair and haven't heard about it in a while. I don't think my dear old mother just became tech-savvy overnight!

There are better options
This product arrived with an audio select button that was not functional. I don't know whether this was due to damage during shipping (no bubble wrap in a box that was too large) or a manufacturing issue, but regardless a key element of this product didn't work for me.Even assuming this product worked as designed, I still would only give this 3 stars - for the price (nearly $50 more than the Miccus RTX mini), this product left something to be desired. The power, bluetooth, and audio select buttons are not mechanical, and are instead touch sensitive. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, this product does not feature aptX capability.I would only consider this product if (i) you must have coax digital input/outputs, or (ii) you need to connect to multiple bluetooth devices at once. Otherwise, the Miccus RTX mini does everything this does for less money.

The product fits my needs in that the speech heard and mouth movements are pretty well synchronized and the range is excellent and I would have given it 5 stars.I have two issues with it:1. The cost is too high2. If you turn the power off and the turn it back (which what happens if you use the amp as the power source), you must pair it each time, To prevent that I have now connected it to a surge protector and I leave it on all the time. This way when I turn on my Bluetooth earphones, they connect immediately. I would preferred to connect it to the amp and have it turn off when the amp was turned off, but on turning it back on, it would remember the earphones and connect automatically. Perhaps the seller could enlighten me.

I bought this little box so that my wife and I could watch TV and listen using Bluetooth headphones. Using the supplied optical cable, the TV is connected to this box optical audio input. We are able to pair with two BT headphones. Pairing with the first headphone is very simple. However, to pair with the second headphones, one first needs to read the instruction manual to learn how to do so. (Not to worry, it says to simply double-press the button in order to initiate pairing with the second device.)With respect to syncing, there was a slight delay which was corrected using our TV's sound sync setting.I am unable to review how this device works as a Bluetooth receiver since I do not need to use it that way.Bottom, this device answers our need to be able to watch movies on our TV without keeping the rest of our household awake on late evenings.

Very good range as long as a clear line of sight (probably 30 - 40 feet). As advertised, there is a slight sound delay from the broadcast video to the headphones but it's really only noticable when people are speaking on screen, so for movies not so good, but for sports it's great!
