this is top tier hobby grade, for $150 this is insane, if traxxas or arrma made this it would be $320 easy. Lots of high quality metal parts, i did end up shredding a pinion gear which you can hear it starting to go in the video. (somehow lol, the pinion and spur are both metal) but it came with an extra. I was trying to do back flips lol and landed on the wing from about a 20foot drop which broke the rear diff cover and everything mounts to that so i had to get a new one. i wish they were metal or at least a stronger plastic but that is my only complaint. the motor is strong and fast, it handles great with the awd and its very well balanced with the center diff. This thing is a blast in the dirt or on asphalt and its a steal for the price👍

I'm an RC enthusiast and I have several cars/trucks from various manufacturers but one of my favorite brands so far has been RLAARLO - mainly because of the durability; I own 2 Rlaarlo 1/10 Omni Terminator (OT) trucks (metal and carbon versions) and they are both built to a very high standard. I wanted a 1/12 size and, although these X12S trucks pop up under several different names like Vircas and Lafpacy, the box you get has RLAARLO on it. When mine arrived, I was pleased to see the same great build quality as my OTs, a metal chassis plate, and many nice CNC metal parts such as shock towers and drive shafts, many marked 'Rlaarlo'. It wasn't clear in the web description but this Vircas one does come with a nice Rlaarlo 3S, 2200 mAh, 35C LiPo battery which gives it plenty of power - I didn't test with a GPS but the speed of this thing is awesome. I tried it on the paved street in front of my house and found that the stock wheels/tires seem a bit small and lacking grip; it was also clear that the truck would be improved by a gyro to maintain stability and stop spin outs and roll overs - especially if you're going to go crazy on the throttle like me. I found a set of 4 Vgoohobby 88mm OD tires that have narrower fronts and are slightly bigger and wider than the stock tires. I also changed to a MEUS M-06AT gyro receiver which works with a HOTRC transmitter I already own; once these were fitted, this truck had much better traction on the road and on dirt, the slightly greater diameter tires helped on grass, and the gyro tamed down all the instability and gave zero wobble, even on full speed runs. The new receiver also added the advantage that I can see the car's LiPo voltage on my transmitter. The bigger/better tires might be a matter of choice but a gyro receiver as standard would be a welcome upgrade. I'm having a lot of fun with this little truck, it's the perfect size to throw it in the car and drive at the local club, for the price it's a bargain, and now all my buddies want on too. Highly Recommended.

This car is AWESOME! I've always loved RC cars, but I never had a "hobby grade" one before. The closest I had was a Red Arrow from Radio Shack. I thought it was very fast once I started using a 9.6v battery pack instead of the intended 7.2v pack. But the plastic gears kept stripping, and eventually the electronics died (probably because I was overloading it with too much power). Fast forward 25 years: I got this one, and I can't believe how fast it is right out of the box! I feel like a kid again, though this product clearly is not intended for children. If your kids are begging you to use it, please set the speed limiter to 25-50% (depending on their skill level). Even at 50%, it's faster than my beloved Red Arrow (with 9.6v pack). You really need a LOT of open space to use it at 100%. I brought it to a park and sent it flying over dirt mounds several times. It did more "somersaults" than I could count, but it held up like a champ. Eventually I ran it into a curb at almost full speed, and the only thing that broke was an upper link. The replacement part came in about 10 days. Very cheap and easy to switch out. Couldn't be happier with this RC!

I love this little RC car. It’s definitely fun for a beginner like myself. I do wish they had a bigger battery option to go with it as it takes a while for the battery to charge and you get maybe 20-30 minutes of drive time. It can take a beating as I have flipped it many many times and smacked into a few things (including myself). Very functional. Pretty darn fast. I think the overall value is good. If you get this I would recommend you get a few batteries so you can have a good hour of drive time. I did get this on sale so for that price it has been worth it.

only four stars because there's always room for improvement. great car, super fast on pavement. pretty good on grass with bigger tires. aluminum chassis and shock towers is great but, plastic for almost everything else.... could be better. keep bashing to a minimum and you should have no problems. 1/12 scale is a lil on the small size for rougher terrain but great for skate parks. comes RTR but I would recommend a balanced full charge first. 3s, 2,200mAh battery with 35c works but doesn't last super long. 3s, 5000mAh work 50c does better. over steers just a bit but you get used to it quick. easy to get started, pull the body pins, plug the battery in, turn remote on, cut car on, put body on and fly.. easy Amazon page has just about all replacement parts you'll need. you can find em elsewhere too. comes with decals so you can personalize your car (to a point, everybody gets the same decals). i broke the a part in steering but that wasn't because of poor manufacturing, it was hitting the curb just about face on at full speed. jumped and rolled it quite a few times but the car held up pretty well. really fun car
