To ensure you are using properly to avoid steam make sure your hair is 100% dry and you are using a heat protectant. If you are doing this you will see steam from the product heating up and protecting the hair with any heat element you use on your hair. This is the only reason it should steam when you use it. Pro Tip: Always follow manufacture instructions and use heat protectant when using any heated tools for your hair. Have a Good Hair Day!
