We were at the vet so many times and they weren’t helpful at all. She ended up in a cone for several months and every time we took the cone off, she just re-opened it. After my vet referred us to a behavioral specialist without really eliminating any potential medical reasons for this recurring wound, I did even more research to see what I could to protect her skin from scratching. I found this bandaid glue, and it worked miracles! You have to be really careful of how/where you apply, and be sure to use the little tube attachments they provide to help slow down the flow of the glue. Do a little test spot on a napkin just to get an idea of how fast it comes out. Once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty easy to use and it dries super fast. It stays on for quite a while too and naturally dissolves without any need for removing. We did a couple rounds on our cat and she FINALLY healed! Incredibly worth it for the price. And even after multiple uses, there’s still a good amount left. Less is more!
