It’s an inexpensive Chinese keyboard.
It worked out of the box so that’s already a plus but it’s anything but quiet… I can’t touch it and not hear a reasonably loud click. However, I wanted keys that worked and didn’t have to be touched a special way to do so like my old mechanical keyboard that came with a Compaq computer many years ago. I also was tired of hitting a few keys but not doing so just the right way and a sentence would end up with several words missing letters. For about 12-bucks I’m not going to ding it for anything other than the noisy keys but the description didn’t say it was but some reviews did so I have no idea what their benchmark was to think this is quiet. Time will tell but, for now, I like the low profile Chicklet style keys and I was also tired cleaning out dust and cat fur from my old one and getting something under one of these keys seems like it will pretty difficult. For the price, and I’m cheap, it works for me, and some of the shortcuts on the F keys are nice. If the noise of the keys annoys my wife on the other side of the room parting with it won’t be painful but you can’t always get everything you want for the price you want and it did take several purchases before I did get a mouse that’s actually silent.

99% Perfect, Many Perfect Characteristics.
So, what's the missing 1? They did a really bad design job with the LED lights. I actually cannot see them, because they're so small and only visible at a very narrow straigh-on angle, which is not the angle I'm looing at them from. I'm one of those who tries different keyboards. Recently I made the huge mistake buying the Lenovo DEEP CURVE" one, which is the absolute opposite of this. The surfaces are very concave, and relatively tall, narrow. These are completely flat, wide, and just the right size and positioning. Good key surface testture-feel. They also have what I consider optimal vertical travel, about 1/8 inch, with a definite feel for the bottom. Also the writing on the keys seems to be just right. is good, and no problem with friction or sticking. It just facilitates my typing much better, escellent ergonomics for fast keyboarders with me. With the Lenovo, for some reason it was frustragingly coming out "th eLenovo". Lesson learned, HAPPY i BOUGHT THIS. (But upgrade it and make those LED's BIG and BRIGHT!

Decent Keyboard For The Price - HUGE UPDATE 7/13/20
I bought this keyboard to replace having to type directly onto my laptop keyboard, and so far that has worked out well. I'm still getting used to the key spacing, but I think that will come over time. ONE SMALL PROBLEM: the lower-left CTRL key sticks in the down position when I hit it. I have to tap it again for it to pop up. Otherwise, it was easy to plug-and-play into my HP laptop with no problems!UPDATE 7/13/20:OK, so after my initial review about the sticky CTRL button that I was prepared to just live with, the seller contacted me to remind me of the product warranty that would cover such a product problem. I was offered to have a new product sent to me without delay, and told not to worry about sending the defective product back. I got the newest keyboard and VOILA!... no sticky CTRL key! I told the seller that if the new product worked without issues then I would revise my review to give favorable remarks.First of all, the product now gets a 5-star rating! The price, the quality, and most of all the customer service and buyer support that I received. And keep in mind, I didn't go out and solicit the seller's response... they came to me and fixed everything at no cost to me!Thank you VicTsing... you made this a pleasant experience and I hope you continue to do so for all of your future buyers!

Very good for the price
I've been working remotely with a laptop for 6 months. About a week ago I had to go into the office and use The Computer. Holy cow do I not feel right typing on a normal keyboard any more. The keys have to push in So Deep. And it's weird to look at. The keys are separated by these weird ravines which just keep going down into darkness. So I went looking for laptop-like keyboards. This one fairly closely resembles the style of keys on my older laptop. The keys are mounted on what is apparently called a "scissor switch" so they press down the same even if you hit them near the edges. And unlike many other flat keyboards, it has a full real keyboard layout. Nothing is shrunken or moved to make it narrower. It's literally a normal keyboard layout which doesn't stick up as high.I almost gave it 4 stars out of 5 because there's something just slightly off. They sound a bit cheap, like they make a bit of a noise when you touch them even before pressing down. The keys are completely flat on top, which is OK for what I asked for, but a slight concave shape would be just a bit better. The fold-out feet have no grip... ok, lots of keyboards don't. The num/caps/scroll lock lights are hard to see if my head isn't above the keyboard... ok, another thing not all keyboards are great on.All of my complaints are fairly minor, and only ALMOST made me deduct a star. I am also giving it a curved grade because it's one of the cheapest keyboards out there, and yet it's mostly good.

Letters DO wear off keys
I have owned this keyboard for over 1 1/2 years. The keyboard communicates with the computer properly - no problems with that. However, the letters, etc. labeling the keys DO wear off. I took a chance even though other reviewers warned me. I'm typing this review because I finally am looking for another keyboard. Wasted $13 on this one. The labels lasted about 6 months. I have even painted the letters back on multiple times using correction fluid, but that wears off even more quickly. For an adult who is comfortable typing, it is just annoying to have blank keys. For a child or any person not used to typing, it makes using this keyboard impossible. I recommend you look at other brands.
