Can it remove rust stains from clothes?

It removes rust from every surface that I've tried. For clothes I use Whink Rust remover. it is sold here on Amazon. The rust will disappear upon contact with the rust stain on cloth.

How long can you leave CLR in the toilet?

If you are using full strength, no longer than 2 minutes. If you are using the recommended 50/50 (mixed with water) 5 minutes. I use full strength and have let it stay in longer but I don't think that is a good procedure. It will do damage if left in too long.

will this remove hard water rust stains from bathroom sink?

It should, I have not tried it for rust stains.
