I think she had some kind of obsessive compulsive disorder & was highly stressed. Licking & biting at her fur when she was awake. Thought it may have been a flea infestation so treated her but still no change. =0( Started on the drops, by putting the recommended amount in her food - she wasn't keen at first but is now used to it. I didn't see any change for the first week or so...so was a bit disappointed. Then I up'd the dose a little & now I have a different cat! =0D She only occasionally over grooms now so it really seems to be working. In fact I'm writing this from bed (I have a cold) & usually she would be running around itching & biting herself but she is curled up in a little ball fast asleep! What a relief! The added bonus is that my other cat who is very greedy hates the smell of it so it stops her stealing Chilli's food! I put some drops in his mouth the night before firework night. It made him crazy - he was running around crying being an anxious wreck. I stuck to it though and did the same thing the next night (firework night) and he was a lot calmer. The following weekend i knew there were going to be some fireworks but as i was on a late shift that day, i didnt want to give them to him as it would have worn off by the time the fireworks actually started, so i put some drops on his bedding instead. When i returned that night the fireworks were going off but he was calm and chilled out, not shaking like he usually does.
