Yes. You can cook meat in this pot.

I see it boils but what about making rice or stew? Does the rice stick or the stew stain the inside?

Sorry I don’t cook rice. I do make stew and it cleans up perfectly. So far I have no complaints about this fabulous pot.

What are the height and diameter for this pot?

5”H x 9 1/2” W(diameter). And I love it. I just made a big pot of soup.
