You can’t go wrong with quality, Hercules' musical instruments stands. You get what you pay for. My professional level soprano sax, alto sax, clarinet and flute instruments are safe. The stands fold and easily.

perfect fit for a tenor
This is a perfect fit for a tenor. I have purchased this twice. One for my alto and once for my tenor. It fits perfectly for my tenor. For the alto, I needed to squeeze the "u" (the upper part of the stand) to hold it more steadily, which it did.Very sturdy and portable. You need to make sure that you pay attention when you are placing the sax in the stand. It is possible that when you put it in, it may not be seated all the way. If this happens it can be a bit unstable, but DOES NOT get unstable enough to fall.So 5 stars all the way. You will not regret the purchase. Great value.

Yes. Very Good. Five Stars.
I bought a second sax stand one so I could leave one set up at home and one in the tenor sax case. I was very impressed with how tight the pieces were assembled. Actually better than the one I bought a decade again. Very firm. Very nice.In case you were curious like I was, this one does have the rubber plugs, covering holes, on it so you can add flute, clarinet, soprano sax pegs later. From my phone, the photos did not look like it. The legs looked smooth.

Outstanding design
I freaking love this thing! Definitely worth the money. The build feels very sturdy, especially for something designed to hold a 4 - 6 pound (guessing) saxophone. I really love how well they designed this stand. There are 5 points that fold in, making this very "square" when it is collapsed. It fits inside my gear bag perfectly. The folding points are also built very well. They all lock in with a spring loaded ball bearing that is easy to operate. The hinges move very smoothly and silently and feel solid. The legs of the stand are the perfect size. Not so short that it is unstable, but not so long that it gets in the way when on stage. The large rubber feet on each leg make this thing extremely stable.I also love the fact that this stand is "customizable". The bottom support slides up and down easily so it can be used for both alto and tenor saxophones. It also has a spot on one of the legs where you can add an additional peg for a flute, trumpet, etc. (sold seperately for about $10).I have owned this stand for about a year now and have absolutely no complaints.

Doesn't fit alto well.
I ordered this for my alto. The C hook is too big for the alto bell. My sax has never actually fallen out of it, but it doesn't fit well. The alto is very loose and wobbly in the stand. HOWEVER, this stand fits my tenor perfectly. Very stable! No wobble or wiggle. I would not hesitate to order for a tenor sax.

Don't be afraid to fit it to you instrument
This is a great stand. Sturdy. Folds great. Well constructed. I use it with my Yamaha alto. I did find, however, that the top yoke, because it fits both tenor and altos, was a little bit roomy for my alto and I worried about it shifting and falling. As other have noted, this top yoke, with a little gentle pressure can be bent to better accommodate your instrument. Since I am only using it for an alto, I fit it pretty close but it works fantastic.Might void the warranty (if there is one) on the stand, but cheaper than sax repair.
