These worked extremely well for two years. Then a few days ago, I tried putting them on and one of the plastic disks broke in half. I tried to use it without the disk and the locking part didn't work at all. The other one, even though the plastic diskwas still intact, the lock didn't work on it, either. I don't know how they both stopped working at the same time, but that's what happened. I gave it four stars because they were perfect for two years, so figure that in if you decide to buy. They will cost you about $25 a year. If I only needed them for two years, I would have given them five stars.

After losing one of my beautiful, expensive diamond diamond earrings, and then one of my 14k gold ones due to insecure “locking” backs, I was heartbroken. I thought I’d have to wear easily replaceable earrings the rest of my life. Then, years ago, I found these backers. They’re expensive, but they work. I’ve never lost another earring since using them. I bought the gold with the supportive plastic disc, which lifts and positions a heavy earring nicely on my fragile ear lobes. I’ve now collected 3 pairs of these backers to keep permanently on my best post earrings. I can sleep, shower, dress and live with my earrings, much more confidently. Yay !!! 👍❤️. Highly recommended, especially for your precious jewelry. I do have a wish, though. We women need a lobe-supporting and locking earring backer to wear with hook or curved- post earrings. Back to the drawing board I guess. Please lmk if you solve the problem! 😉

These are incredible earring backs. All I wear now on everything. Looove them. They lock on. Feels secure enough to me for gemstones. And very helpful for heavy earrings.
