For basic installs, as long as these pre fab boxes meet the volume requirements of the subwoofer you're using, they are a great option. These are very well made, have a thicker front panel which really helps when mounting heavy subs and they sound good. I have used and currently own many Atrend boxes, single ported 12, dual sealed 10 and single sealed 10. They all work very well, are compact and look good. Definitely worth the money. A custom box would have cost me about $250 and for this install in my daily driver (which I tend to change every year or so) it works just fine. I don't want to many custom boxes that are specific to a car I had as I likely won't have the car long.
