Easy to use, easy to apply. Looks great! Spent the past few months shopping for 12x8 rugs. Multiple carpet stores who quoted us $600-800 for a standard grade carpet with binding. Decided to buy instabind and a piece of carpet off the roll at Menards…. $200 for carpet and instabind… and I got exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend

It wasn't too hard to install (my adult daughter did it) except that it was for a very large area rug made from a carpet remnant. She spent a couple of hours laying on the floor. I was a little worried about a color match, because what you see on your computer screen isn't always close to real life. The binding was a good color match and the finished product looks like it was professionally done. The cost of the binding wasn't cheap, but you get lots of it so many projects can be completed. I would recommend this for even the least crafty person. There are many YouTube videos demonstrating how to use it.

Good product overall. Gives a good clean looking finish. The adhesive which is supposed to stick to the bottom of the carpet is worthless. Plan on hot gluing it. Would buy again. Takes some time to work with, but looks outstanding. The manufacturer claimed to provide 54’ but the perimeter of my project was 52’ and I had only an inch or two to spare at the end… and I actually measured. So, “54 feet” might not mean exactly 54 feet. Good alternative to professional carpet setting, which is quite expensive.

I recently turned some remnant from a carpet we installed in our hallway into area rugs and door mats using Instabind. Even as a first time user it was reasonably easy to install. Corners are a little tricky because some of what you've already adhered can come undone when you're bending the instabind to go around the outside corner. I like the look of the finished product. And I like that I didn't have to pay the high price to get them professionally bound.Some complaints include (and I've still given 5 stars as I really do like the finished product): 1) Instabind has a good selection of colours, but there aren't very many options within each colour. I needed gray and there was only one gray option. Thankfully it worked out ok, even though it wasn't ideal. 2) The tape on the back hadn't completed adhered to the carpet back even though I kept pressing it against the back of the carpet with my fingers. It looked rippled. I decided to experiment with ironing it. I placed a damp towel along the instabind on the carpet back and then slowly (but not too slowly) ran the iron along the instabind at its hottest setting. The Instabind adhered smoothly along the carpet back. This would have been a helpful tip on the instructions they send along with the product.

Fabulous product! Great value, easy install/application. Recently had my carpet replaced and I wanted a remnant for my basement. I did not want to spend the $$ to have it professionally bound since it is for a basement space. I am thrilled with the results, it turned out even better then I expected. It definitely takes some time if you want it to be done right. Definitely would do this again!!

We bought a 9x12 carpet but didn’t realize until we got it home that it’s edges were raw. I received the instabind and immediately began trimming the carpet. It took me about an hour and a half and I couldn’t be more pleased with the finished look.

This product is great. Inexpensive way to turn left over carpet to great looking area rugs. We had carpet installed in one large bedroom and I was not going to throw the extra away. Priced having it professional bonded - way to expensive. Searched the internet, found this stuff and LOVE IT!! This is the second time we have ordered from them. Highly recommend!!
