they are not true USB typ C u have to flip them over and over to figure out which way works. i dont really understand HOW thats possible.. considering. if both cables on each side are reversible (and they are) how is it that this little connector needs to be oriented in one way or another? i have NO IDEA. but trust me. it does. my best guess is that this adapter orients whats plugged into it. and disabled an entire side. but it defeats the purpose of usb typ C. and clearly has unwanted and useless Tech inside. i wish it was just a jumper connection. but no. its got some stupid chip inside that does stupid things. gave it three stars because it still works when oriented right for charging. and mild data sync

Only passes power, no data or HDMI or anything else. Total waste of money. Tried multiple cables, flipped and reversed many times.

I wanted to be able to attach a small battery to the phone w/o a cable, this works perfectly to plug in the battery which is USB-A into the phone which is USB-C and lay it on the table. I would not really recommended using it like this as it would stress the usb-c port on the phone, but it works for just the one thing I wanted it for.

These generally work well. Every now and then however I would have to rotate what direction the cable was plugged into this device to get it to register which is odd for a reversible connection. Most of the time works fine however. No power/charge limitations I encountered.

I did enjoy this product i used in in my car to connect my phone to the usb cable for my aftermarket stereo..... I did not like the fact that it wore out in about one week so im back to a regular phone cable.... Plus side is my kid can play on my on phone now in thw back seat while it is still plugged in

It's all the one-sided fun of USB-A, but without the pesky plastic bits in the way preventing you from plugging it in backwards. If you're using it just for charging a battery with charging LEDs, it's not too hard to get it right (1 out of 4 chance of getting both sides flipped the right way).

these 90degree usbc-to-usbc is what i used on my oculus quest. shipping was fine, packaging was ok. the 'vertical' 90' adapter worked great for the oculus quest, not so much with the other flat 90' adapter. its basically a pass-through device. it should very rarely EVER fail. after 20 mins of troubleshooting it, it no longer works. really weird. i'd buy this again thinking its a fluke, but im also not sure if it would fail again. i might look for another alternative.

The point of USB type C is that it shouldn't matter which direction you plug. But with this coupler, you have to waste time switching it around until you get the right direction.
