Witchcraft Works 1

Witchcraft Works, Vol. 1 (My Kindle Review)
This manga centers on Honoka Takamiya, a high school student who’s not so social and likes to keep a low profile. His life changes forever when he’s nearly attacked by a witch and is saved by Ayaka Kagari, who’s treated as a goddess at school for her tall and beautiful figure. As he tries to get used to having her by his constant side, she reveals to him that she is a fire witch and that her fellow witches are being threatened by powerful tower witches. He is now determined to become her apprentice and attempt to protect himself from incoming danger. It’s a good slice-of-life manga with an interesting fantasy idea that could use more lore and story. It certainly has some small similarities from other manga, for me it’s the humorous moments between Takamiya and Kagari who usually acts like his beautiful knight in shining armor that make it enjoyable fun. I hope that “WW” can bring more of a story along with its cast of feisty witches. B+ (83%/Very Good)

I'm just going to rate the Quality!!
I bought the physical copy and a problem I came around to is that the book arrived with scratches on the cover? Nothing was bent so I don't know if it was because of improper packaging? The books came in just a mailing bag. Other than that the actually readable pages seem fine.

The Strongest Fire Witch.
The anime is the best and so is the manga, and I love the romance.

It's a good series for the artwork
It's a good series for the artwork. The story itself has some good points and a great cast of characters to use. But it hangs up a lot on the two main characters and doesn't have much progression in their relationship. Tid Bits at a time, readers will read past events to help explain what occurred between them, and details about their relationship back then, but it doesn't seem to influence their present relationship very well. I found the antagonists and other characters around them were way more interesting and hope to see more about them.

love it
love it. I plan on sharing this with co-workers. Some will love it for the art, some for the humor, and some for the kick-ass action. The two quibbles that I have is the lack of translator notes;1) Obama-kun truly is a character. Only the 'furigana' says 'Obama' but the fight chant "Yes! We! Can!" is part of the original.2) The 'Witchworks One Page' is a huge pun. The dictionary form of 'to burn' the main girl states starts with 'moe' as does the 'to sprout' everyone else is thinking.

A World Turned Upside Down.
The story follows Takamiya Honoka who is an ordinary student. The only thing that troubles his life is that he has to sit next to Kagari Ayaka who is the schools "Princess" and comes complete with her own fan club who trouble Takamiya just for sitting next to her.One day, however, whilst walking alone, an event occurs that leads to Kagari saving Takamiya's life and he is then thrown into a world that he previously knew nothing about. This is a charming manga that comes complete with romance, action, and comedy.

Crazy magical fun, with gender role reversal.
If you like super powered witches with crazy outfits then this is your manga. Plenty of humour adds to the enjoyment. There is not so much by way of plot in volume 1, and the premise is simple, but there are hints of something greater yet to come. What little story we are presented with is well executed, and Kagari is a very cool hero. Takamiya is a typical damsel in distress, and it is fun to watch him be saved time and again by his witchy classmate. This book was worth the £5 it is priced at, maybe even a little more.

The spine wasn't in perfect condition, even though I have bought it as new and the cover and back had scratches too. At least it was cheap so I'm kind of satisfied with that fact considering everything.

Great Story, Art and Characters!
I started watching the anime for witchcraft works, but the anime ends without explaining several plot points and finishes without really providing an ending...the manga provides more of everything (more explanation, more sub plots explained and it goes well beyond the anime. The art style is very nice, the story is way more interesting than the anime (because they explain things the anime doesn't) and you learn a lot more about the relationship between the two MC's, which in my opinion makes the manga far superior to the anime (although that was admittedly fun to watch). All in all, i bought all of the manga at once...so let that tell you how much i like it (lol i bought 12 manga on my kindle for about 9.99 each on the same day)...trust me, they are that good!
