DREAM PAIRSWomens Closed Toe Hiking Summer Outdoor Sport Athletic Sandals

Very comfortable, roomy for toes.
I tried on 6 pairs of similar closed toe sandals, looking for a comfortable walking/easy hiking sandal, with the extra protection of a closed toe. I got size 7 in each of the following: Keen Whisper, Keen Newport H2, Teva Walhalla, Teva Omnium, Dannto, and this DreamPair. I really expected to like the more expensive shoes, but I chose the Dream Pair for the following reasons: Easy to put on and take off with the back velcro strap. Nice and roomy for my toes. Back strap does not catch/irritate my ankle bones. If I had any concerns it was with the inside sole which felt a little rough on my soft feet after a winter in socks. I have since worn them several times, and one full day, and am thrilled to say that the sole did not irritate at all. Here are my findings on the other closed toe sandals:Keen Whisper: Difficult to put on with fixed back strap, needing 'finger work'. The back strap touched my outside ankle bone (end of the fibula bone) but was otherwise comfortable. The stippled inside of the sole did not irritate my foot. This shoe is more 'open' and therefore probably cooler than the other shoes I tried. I think this pair was the most attractive of the 6 pairs. Keen Newport H2: I had high hopes for this pair of shoes since it seems to be the standard to which all others are compared. Once again the negative for me was the difficulty in putting them on. They are a much snugger fit than the others, possibly better if climbing over rocks, but I preferred the roomier feel of the DreamPairs. The back strap, like the Whisper, touched my outside ankle bone. The arch support was very obvious. I also found the Newports 'clunky', that is, after putting down my heel, the front of the shoe would 'slap' down - noisy. The Teva Walhallas were easier than the Keens and the Teva Omnium to put on, but didn't have the ease of the velcro strap on the Dream Pairs. Very squeaky walking across Pergo and tile floors, but maybe that's indicative of good grip? They did not irritate my ankle bones. The inside sole was smooth except for a TEVA logo under the heel. This irritated my left foot, leaving an imprint of the logo, but strangely enough did not worry my right foot. The Teva Omnium had a very nice adjustable strap over the top of the foot, and a high instep. I found the inside sole rough on my foot. Although easier to get on than the Keens, it still required 'the finger'! The Dannto had a velcro back strap making it easy to put on and take off, but I found the insole/instep a little high for me. Otherwise it was comfortable, did not touch the ankle bones. Hope this helps you find a comfortable pair of closed toe sandals. I returned all five of the other pairs after my in house trial.

Soft, comfortable, great price
The media could not be loaded. Love the adjustable back - easy to put if and to take off, love the color and style, love the cushion under the foot and strong/flexible bottom of the sandals that also have looks like a good grip so I expect it to be not too slippery. It hugs my feet just perfect. It has some toes room I needed. I will update it in a month regarding how it takes the walking in the water and over the rocks and the actual trails. I expect it to dry pretty fast, which is also good feature. I personally would like a little more of the arch support but I understand that feet and arches are different. Because of the cushioned heel, I think it will compensate for the arch support.

Long Lasting, Comfortable
I have over 200 walking miles with these sandals before the sole began to wear out but still have another 75-100 miles left in them. The color is still good enough. They fabric did begin to stretch in 75 miles and I think they are a half size big to begin with so I would try a full size smaller next time. Not feather light but light enough. Sturdy sole with good enough traction. I could hike with them. Quick drying. Great, wide toe box.

Very cute and comfortable
These are very comfortable hiking sandals. I wear them when I’m running errands, grocery shopping and if I wasn’t retired, I’d wear them to work. They are that comfortable. They did run big on me. I’ve always worn a size 8 1/2 but I could easily have worn an 8 in these shoes. But like another reviewer said, I just tightened the back strap as far as it will go and they fit fine. They are light in weight, easy on and off, adjust easily, and I love the style. The color I chose is the black/light grey color which goes with everything. I haven’t had to clean them yet, but I feel they would clean very easily. I highly recommend these!

Reasonable alternative for a cheaper shoe
I loved my last purchase of Keens. They are very comfortable and rugged shoes. But the ones I bought last time are no longer available, so I looked around and found these in my size and a pleasing color. They look identical to my old pair, but are lighter weight than the Keens, don't have as thick/heavy a sole nor as good arch support, and likely not as rugged and long-lasting. But at 1/4 the price, it's a reasonable compromise. I like the velcro at the back, which allows for slightly more adjustment (at least, until the velcro wears out). My normal size is 7 1/2 and these fit well.

Buenos y comodos.

Comfy and value for money
Was looking for a closed toe sandal, and found some of the more expensive ones like KEEN to be uncomfortable. This has a cushioned sole and quick dry from getting wet. Got these for my trip to costs rica and wore every day.

Molto comode
